Are we not allowed to discuss bans on the overwatch forum? I had made a thread a few days ago and it was at 104 replies after a day of being opened and gaining traction then was deleted and account silenced from forums
remember half the community will get b utt hurt about anything and this gen triggers easily
Yes, account actioning is off limits for topics according to the forum rules you agreed to.
Yeah, discussing your ban is against the forums code of conduct. So if it catches the eye of a mod you can get in trouble for that.
Discussing Disciplinary Actions
This category includes:
- Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a player, including chat logs and email correspondence between a player and a Game Master (GM)
- Creating posts or threads to discuss disciplinary actions taken against a character or account on the forums
If a player is found to have participated in such actions, they will:
- Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity
so yeah
im pretty sure there are many things in the code of conduct but im sure there’s favortism in certain subjects that the community dose not flag
They know the “Defense matrix” was a colossal failure and it’s likely beyond repair so now they’re desperate to hide it
Discussing actions taken against anyone’s account is against TOS.
Also most of these ‘I got banned omg unfair’ threads are just people venting on the identical topic, so it falls under ‘spam.’ One recent closed thread was one unhinged individual actually making threats of murder towards Blizz employees and forum members… I don’t think anyone needs to explain why that one got closed.
ah ty guys this makes a lot of sense now
Wait, why did that one get closed? Can you please explain it to us?
Well, there was a mommy thread and a daddy thread, and they loved each other very much…
There are, but in my experience “I got unfairly silenced”-threads usually end up in the OP starting to insult people, getting people to flag them because they turned out to be unlikable as a person.
Just like me!
No, you are not allowed to have an opinion.
They will silence and ban anybody who does not agree with them.
Think of Russia or north Korea.
Same thing happened to me. I started a thread about this, it got up to 130 or so comments, and it was summarily deleted. Code of conduct I was told, whatever that means.
Still. I think it is more likely some comment within the post got it taken down. Some moderator specifically looking for these threads and maliciously removing them is such a narrow thing that it seems highly unlikely to me.
But I could be wrong.
