So when I play overwatch with people in discord, as soon as I get into a game of quickplay, comp, arcade or even custom I suffer from what sounds like lag and then discord cuts out. As soon as I tab out it restores, when it’s in the main menu it’s fine. I have tried repairing overwatch, reinstalling overwatch, reinstalling discord and changing graphics settings. It might be competing with a Discord setting called Enable Quality of Service High Packet Priority, which you can disable in Discord Settings > Voice & Video. Let me know if this helps.
I disabled this setting but nothing changed, still having the same problem.
Unfortunately, since this is a problem you’re having with the Discord client not functioning properly, it’s probably best to reach out to their support. Maybe someone else will chime in with an idea as to what’s causing this, but I personally don’t know the answer.
Hey Gumpy, did you find a solution to this problem, it’s also happening to me with other games too.
Please be mindful of the date on threads before responding, as this one is 6 months old. Also, as I suggested above, if you’re having an issue with Discord across all games, you should address the issue with Discord. The staff and MVPs will not be able to assist with third-party software.
