This has happened multiple times to me in 1 day for it to be a network issue, I already tried fixing my router and it didn’t see to work. I asked some friends and they said it could be a DDOS - or that’s what they said. I have already received a penalty and I feel powerless to do anything. Using VPNs are not helping because they raise my latency to ~600.

Great… I couldn’t even use the reply or comment button on my main account for some reason. This makes no sense, Blizzard please fix this. (This is an alt account)

You can’t reply unless someone else posts. Let’s get a MTR test so we can see what is happening:

Download WinMTR (Console players need a Windows Desktop Computer connected to the same network as their console to do this.)

Unzip the WinMTR.zip file to the Desktop.

Open the WinMTR folder and select the 64 bit version.

Run the WinMTR.exe as Admin
-
Type the IP address you want to trace in the “Host” field. To get the correct IP you will actually need to open up the game and go Practice Vs AI or Quick Play and if you are on PC hit Ctrl+Shift+N and it will bring up the ingame network diagnostic graph, or go to Video > Options > Display Network Performance Graph if you are on any platform including Console. In the top left corner is the IP address you want to run WinMTR to.
Note: You will want to leave the colon and last 5 digits at the end off and only use the first four set of digits (for example, 24.105.13.114 in the screenshot without the :26535).

Once you notice the connection issue while playing, play for about 6 more minutes, minimize the game and click on “Stop”.

Click on “Copy text to clipboard”, then return to this forum thread.

Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:

Cant really go out due to the virus going on can direct message my PSN if can help resolve?

Same on tpe1 server for some weeks now, I get disconnected a lot, like other players in my games. I played for more than 2 years without any pb, with the same PC-ISP-router-ethernet cable, and Internet is very stable here otherwise.
I updated Windows, the network adapter’s driver, not the router’s firmware as it’s supposed to update itself (2018 driver rn).
So that’s weird, I have a good latency (25ms) with nothing weird on the game’s network graphs, but I get the little red icon on the left, the red stripe across the screen, and more often the “lost connection” screen.
Also I noticed longer times to connect to the game (reach title screen) and to open the “career profile” menu, which by itself can cause the red stripe warning.
It looks like you are getting some packet loss and latency spikes starting here before reaching our servers, which is likely affecting the connection in-game. I would suggest testing another network like a mobile hotspot to compare the difference. A free VPN may also be worth a shot.
He said a VPN increased his ping a lot.
On my end I tried playing on pse1 server (Americas), and I had 0 problem, but obviously the ping is higher because the server isnt in my country anymore, so not an ideal solution.
I’ve been having the same issue for the past 16 hours. I can’t even connect to an OW server this morning. I stream live TV on my other monitor without issue (so it’s not my connection or LAN issue). Yesterday most of the others in my group, from all over the US were having the disconnections in the same games.

I’m literally having the same problem on my PS4. And because I keep getting disconnected I now have a stupid penalty on me of -75% cup for 6 matches. Matches I won’t even be able to play because apparently there’s a problem with my net yet my internet is fine and works perfectly for every single other game I have and for everything else I need it for yet I can’t play over watch.

I am literally in the same boat, hopefully blizzard removes the -75% because its annoying and unfair… maybe some bonus credits… xD
Playing from the Americas server and got disconnected too while playing ranked. Can’t reconnect the second time. I have no network spikes and have been playing with 33ms latency consistently. Can I get my hard earned 50 sr back

yeah all these seem accurate to whats happening to me. I heard blizzard got DDOS’ed recently. Yall may want to do a double check and make sure they didn’t do more harm than whats on the surface. It disconnects me within 5 mins every time.
There’s a whole bunch of weird stuff going on. I joined a match 5 minutes ago where there was 2 players but the match had started and it eventually timed out. I joined another match and I got a disconnect one round in. I rejoined and then got a hero locked out of rotation message even though I was in QP. WTF is going on?
This is absolutely nuts never had this issue playing the game or anything like that yesterday i get disconnected in the middle of a ranked game and lose sr…and today i cant get through a single game without not just me, but the entire lobby crashing. please stop linking these useless WinMTR tests when clearly the issue is on your end…Either that or its a huge coincidence that myself and my entire lobby is having the exact same issue at the exact same time? @zenlaka
Servers kicking people from the games and I just was in the match where like 10 people witched and at the end it kicked me as well. The worst part we gonna get penalty for you server problems.

Multiple people are getting disconnected from the server and are also switching sides mid game. This is not user end, this 100% Blizzard end.

I get disconnected from the game on my ps4 pro pretty regularly. I never know when it’s going to happen. I have 1Gbps cable internet, no other devices disconnect or ever even lag.
