Disconnection when viewing highlight

The highlight intro loads and plays for a brief moment. However, before the full replay can load, the game disconnects, and gives a “disconnected from server” error message. This doesn’t happen if highlight is saved to PC. Playing the game works just fine.

I am also having the same issue. It is a highlight from Junkenstein’s Lab on Oasis for Kiriko in case you need more info. My highlight from Junkenstein’s Lab on Illios for Kiriko works fine.

This seems specific to Junkenstein’s Lab highlights (though I don’t have any non-lab highlights to test at the moment). The error is “client requested disconnect”, and it does sometimes occur when saving too, not just viewing.

Maybe it is an issue with Oasis in Junkenstein’s Lab? Because I got the same issue for a Mercy POTG on Oasis but not other maps.

Yep it is, I’ve been playing since launch and have never had an issue like this until now, and only with highlights from junkenst. lab. Though I saved some highlights from this mode with no problems a couple days ago. Now some clips give this error, something broke. Hope they fix this asap.

Out of 4 games I played of this mode (Oasis, Antarctic Peninsula, Lijiang Tower, and Busan) only the one highlight from Busan has been viewable and saveable.

I’m wondering if it has to do with a specific hero being in play, and/or a specific card being used?

I don’t think so, it keeps happening with every hero. Somedays it disconnects only on Busan maps, and somedays they load normally.

currently having the same issue, its a highlight from suravasa while playing doomfist. It shows " playername as Doomfist", and as soon as it gets to the actual highlight, “client requested disconnect”.

Every other highlight and the game itself working as intended

We’ve been making Mythbuster videos and answering OW2 fan questions for months, and this is really hampering our ability to record footage.

We are trying to support OW and the community, but these bugs and the lack of a fix make it seem like that is a low priority for the team. So until this is fixed, we will be focusing on Rivals content exclusively, and if it doesn’t get fixed soon, we may need to stop taking questions from OW2 fans entirely.

I really wish this wasn’t the case…
