I am reconnecting within 15 seconds (as fast as i can launch Overwatch again (it is faster then type my password and see how all freezed due to disconnect). And what is see is: u are suspended 9:45, get your -50mmr. What reason u did so hard penalty? I understand if u leave for 2 mins. But for god sake, 15 seconds?! Ok, hell with me, but my team will lose (ye in match you give 30 secs i think). I dont get it. People dont leave, they just reconnecting. And blizzard app by the way eat 7 seconds before it understands that game is not running any more. Game starting 7 seconds. What can i do? DISLIKE

Rejoining a game without penalty is only possible during certain phases of the game and within a timely manner. If you leave a game either during the pre-game or during the first minute of the game, the game will automatically cancel (remember the 10 second rule does not apply to the leaver, but as a warning to other players that the match will cancel). You can rejoin the match during the initial hero selection screen if you are lucky enough to quickly reconnect though.
Otherwise, you can only rejoin any-time after one-minute of match time has passed up until the match completes. However you only have two minutes to do so without penalty. If you rejoin a match after two-minutes, you will still automatically be marked with a loss an be penalized with a -50 SR cut and a ten-minute suspension. This rule ensures that no one can abusive the leaver system by attempting to return to a match after deliberately leaving in order to avoid such penalties. Furthermore leaving three or more times in a single match will result in an automatic penalty. If you fail to return to a match by the time it ends normally (regardless of match result) you will be penalized.
Unfortunately all disconnections and game crashes counts as leaving the match and will be penalized appropriately. The game server has no way to discern a legitimate disconnection or game crash from one that is forcefully caused by a dishonest player to bypass leaver penalties. Remember if you see the message, “Lost Connection to the Server” in the title screen or the message “Failed to Connect to Server” in yellow text in the text chat box, this means there is something that disrupted your connection to the game server and not a problem with the game server itself. There can be a variety of reasons this happens including those that don’t disconnect your computer from the Internet. There is great troubleshooting to start with that can most likely resolve most issues and I encourage you to check them out here:

Thank you. I inderstand, that is just my emotions. Today my dog plugged off internet cable from PC at the start of the match. And when i relog - i have 2 seconds before match cancelled. But i was there. Its is emotions only again, no need t reply

I am suspended BUT I don’t know why… first ticket say me you are suspended from Sony, but No… wrong, second ticket say me you are suspended because you are leaving the game, play quick… I NEVER left the game, one time disconnect because server down… not my problem… and I CANT CONNECT TO OLAY QUICK !!! Please fix it or say me how much days I need to wait…
If you are suspended from the game entirely, you will have received an email from Blizzard describing the details of your account action.
For bans or suspensions from Competitive Play…
- If it says in a yellow bar “You are suspended” with a timer counting down, that shows how much time remains before you can play Competitive again
- If it says in a red bar “You are banned. Season ##”, then that means you are banned for the remainder of the current season and will have to wait until it is over. (Season 32 ends March 4th).
- If it says in a red bar “You are banned.” (with no season number), then that means you are banned permanently for accumulating three or more season bans in your entire play history. This cannot be appealed for any reason.

My internet is stable and my game never closed. I lost connection to Blizzard servers and the game reestablished itself in about 15 seconds. I am now suspended. Once the game ended I saw “game found” and was briefly connected to the chat for gg’s.
This instance was clearly a bug.
