Total up the amount of cash on both teams after a round. I bet the team that’s already behind will end up with less. Now it’s an even more uphill battle to regain any momentum. “GG”.
The mode is absolute trash
They removed hero swapping but then didnt add ways for you to build around your counters lol
I was expecting actually interesting items and perks to allow your hero to build around counters. But there are none
I picked mei, the enemy picked zarya. There were no perks that help mei stop zarya just bubbling through everything i did. I cant freeze her. My ults useless. The hero is just unplayable into that because they didnt add items that help you against a zarya lol. Its like they didnt actually put any effort into what a mode like this needs to work
Please ban rage quitters from this mode for atleast 1 day this mode takes longer to do and leaving on the 1st round with no punishment encourages
this behavior and makes the game mode unplayable and not fun for other people
Stadium feels like a game mode targeted to casuals that requires more competitive coordination and effort than competitive due to how badly balanced the comps can be, the lack of hero swapping, and how supercharged heroes become.
Positioning, Target Selection/Focus, etc. is even more paramount, and mistakes are punished far more harshly because of how short the rounds are.
I’m actually kind of confused about who this game mode is actually targetted at. What people are saying isn’t really lining up with what it feels like to play.
Your Tank picks D.Va vs. their Zarya or JQ… Mind as well just leave and go again. The games are super long, even the stomps take forever. You can spend more time waiting between rounds than on the maps in some matches…
My first game in Stadium, all roles, go Dva, we lose monumentally to Rein/Ana sweatlords, the Mei in my team told me to ‘drop from a height’. Very wonderful community and first time experience.
No idea about Mercy in this case, but they clearly addressed Rein just not directly through item buffs. I hope more is done soon, but given this is the amount of changes we usually expect for their once every 3 month patches, (and it’s only been 3 days) I suspect (and hopium) that we’ll get a lot of aggressive changes, just like we’ve been getting promised for the last 2 and a half years for the rest of the game that never happened.
Support has zero carry potential. Damage creep makes whoever has the hackier of dps win, specifically whoever’s got the most busted Cassidy player on each team. Played tank and it’s not much better than support, a bleak awful experience at beginner ranks. I vastly out-shine the mass majority of the teams I’ve been placed on, and have won something like 1/10 games on support, regardless of performance and solo kills. Horrifyingly bad coding on the match making part man wtf suspend your devs who made this.

Yes to every thing you said. Glad someone agrees. They like to make things harder for them self for some reason.
And if they were willing to totally change and rework heroes so they could fit into a 5v5 setting, then they could have done the same for 6v6 and solved the problems they had with double shields.
Within the tank role, there should have been barrier tanks and off tanks and you could only ever have one of each. Done.

Mercy basically turns Cassidy and Ashe into Widowmaker when they spec into Weapon Damage, except without the charge timer on their shots.
It certainly doesn’t feel like it’s locked at 30, more like 15 or 20, but maybe part of that is a mix of the game’s speed and comparatively to normal game framerate.
There’s a lot of technical glitches affecting performance on PS4 (probably other consoles) this patch, including very quirky behavior with general aiming and erratic aim assist (it sometimes simply ignores targets it normally would react to and does nothing). It feels like the netcode is running into a lot more desynchs awkwardly updating resulting in teleporting players and sudden changes in reticle position.
The other question: will aim assist be enabled for crossplay lobbies? If it isn’t, that’s going to put PC players with console teammates at a wider disadvantage. That might be tenable in unranked, but it’s likely to feel bad regardless.
Arena wouldve been infinitely more tolerable as 6v6 format.
The things that stand out in this game mode to me that I hope they look at:
- Cass and Soldier’s auto-aim abilities are too strong for being free-to-pick abilities. It takes baseline weapon power and weapon speed to make them busted and way too forgiving for how strong they are.
- Tanks control the match way too much to the point where there isn’t any build you can create to even contest with it.
- Ability power needs to be toned down, it adds too much damage to Juno, Genji, Mei, Junker Queen, etc.
- It would be nice to have clearer, hero-specific descriptions for what ability power would affect, what weapon power would affect, etc. (i.e., it’s not clear what affects Lucio’s Crossfade?)
Please, can you give us at least Battle Pass XP for the matches?
We are playing for 30 minutes and we only get 500 XP
If you win you get MOUTNAINS of it to the point where at a 50% win rate its still probably by far the best way to get BP exp but the lack of anything for a loss is weird.
I feel helpless as Mei against Reaper… I guess that’s how Reinhardt must feel against Mei
On the bottom right of screen, you can press a key that toggles those descriptions.
Then it’ll show the affected weapons/abilities/ults.
Then be the better team.
If the team you’re up against has more income than yours, they earned it.
Just the same as if your team were ahead. You earned it.
The game even gives you a boost when you’re behind. So get out there and earn it.

It still doesn’t specify certain heroes’, like Mercy’s. It only says [Caduceus Staff] - but it doesn’t say how it affects damage boost or heal. And same with Crossfade - it doesn’t say what part of it that boosts will affect.

- If everyone agrees, end armory time ( like special event intros )
- Hover over the power bars on the left highlights the enabling items on the right. ( add reverse highlight )
