Different latency on different accounts

Hi Dears,
We playing overwatch 2 on ps5 with my wife.
Our accounts have the same region (ps5) and linked to bnet accounts also with the same region.
We are using wired connection to our home router (dns and other network properties also the same).

She plays with 18 ping
I play with 32.

Why this could happen?
Mb anybody have the same issue?

While this is beyond the scope of stuff we can troubleshoot in here since it’s on your home network, maybe some of these questions will help point you in the right direction.

  • Did you try swapping the ethernet cable? Maybe it’s damaged and has packet loss.
  • Does her connection/IP on the router have priority?
  • Is the router using QoS?

We have one ps5, one wired connection, one router.
There is no any rule for traffic priority (we have the same ip (using one ps5 like i said before)).
My router is mikrotik. There is no any rule in qos

In network preferences wired connection has no any custom rules (gets default from router on my and my wife accounts)

//upd:
I guess your system has cache (or hardcoded login server for uid in your databases). I’m going to sniff network traffic from my ps5 frow two accounts while logging in game AND in QP and I’ll get back to you with the results of debugging

You didn’t mention there was only one console, unless “on” was a typo.

Go for it. I’m a player like you, so I’m interested in the results.

I’m also curious which modes you’re both playing. You may just be landing on different servers. Anyone in North America can land on Las Vegas or Chicago through the matchmaker, depending on mode, time of day you’re playing, number of people you queue with, etc.

We are playing QPs, EU location. We tested latency by playing with this flow:
1 game on my wife’s account
1 game on my own account

Yes, i guess we are landing on different servers so Im going to sniff packets to prove this hypothesis.

Ah ok, since this is the NA/Oceania forum I didn’t know you have an EU account.

I don’t think you can view the Netgraph on PS5. I play on PC, so no way to check. Maybe look in settings? For PC it’s Ctrl+Shift+N. It will show the server code and IP.
