Only works if you’re already communicating with the team, which is only done in competitive (sometimes) and if you’re playing with friends.
It’s a team-based game, but ironically very difficult to coordinate anything as a team.

funny you mention that because
- she legit announces “teleporter online” to the team no matter how far away you are (like any other important callout like ult charge lines)
- everyone on sym’s team gets an announcement text about tp being spawned
- everyone on sym’s team gets tp chevrons on their HUD when it’s up to show where the entrances generally are.
I highly doubt putting on an extra voice line would change a thing about that. heck they even put out an entire balance change (infinite tp) that killed off sym’s uptime to try and solve that problem and we still have it.
worst off, the AUDACITY of this community to praise infinite tp when it came out because “omg I don’t have to track where it is anymore because it’s just stuck in 1 place longer” despite all these indicators and despite how detrimental the nerf was.
and now we’ve gone’round the merry-go-round and the problem of people not using tp still persists, but now sym can’t use it for herself as well as before which makes her down time massively spiked.

Pretty much everyone in my QP games use my tp when I plop it down
Even when I realized that I put TP in places where I should NOT have put it.
How about you place a teleport at spawn and put the second one far away possible? Be useful.

Quite honestly:
If the Sym doesn’t use voice chat to coordinate her TP strats, then I often times won’t use the TP because I know that about half the team won’t do it as well - which often puts you in a very bad spot.
I would argue the line is useful. Sometimes people in vc don’t listen/ I don’t personally use vc often.
And sometimes I want to use the tp for myself and other times for the team. If I want the team to go through a voiceline to be able to tell them would be wonderful not going to lie.
The devs severely overestimated the awareness of the community when reworking teleporter.
On one hand I’d like to see it made a personal-only tool so it can get massive buffs. But on the other hand, that pretty much removes her only niche in high-tiers of play so she’s essentially a throw pick again.

If blizzard actually added some useful voice commands in the game maybe this game would be fun.
I wish they had never changed her teleport.
She was so much better with the old one. Nobody wants to coordinate with teleport anyway outside of top 500 players.

Great idea but you’re talking about a bunch of people who can watch as both healers stand on the right hand side of attacking point B on Paris saying “group with me” and be ignored by 2 dps and 2 tanks who insist on dying in the center choke to Ashe, Mei, Ana and whatever combo of other snipery types they might have.
- Uses her to get on point quicker at the start of round
- Switches off her immediately after for rest of the round
Reading this simultaneously gave me 'nam flashbacks and triggered me. Garden on Lijang tower “group up with me, group up with me” slap a TP straight to point. Me and the mercy and then I watch the killfeed as a Hammond rolls 3 people off the bridge.
