Did you know stats displays "damage mitigated"?

Cause DPS mains clearly don’t know that. I have some 16K blocking Bastion damage as D.Va and I’m still getting called a “tank diff”, cause I’m not landing kills.

So? I’ve blocked 40,000 damage before on Reinhardt and I’ve seen similar numbers from opposing Tanks back in OW1, and they didn’t win games.

It’s very difficult to get any sort of read on the value of mitigating damage. Yeah, it’s… useful, but there’s only so much value to get from blocking damage.

The real value is going to be in getting eliminations, holding objective and keeping your team alive through healing or denial. Healing is far more effective at mitigating damage than straight up blocking it.

Congrats, u wasted 4 secs of dm protecting no one cause yhey werent the the bastions los

Did you know stats are relatively useless and are only there to make people who think “bigger number, better person” that they’re doing well?

Its almost like there are ways to make an impact that aren’t seen on the scoreboard and that just because you have big number, does not mean your actually doing well :exploding_head:

I recently lost a Numbani ranked game going 48-6, 22k dmg, 30.5k mit on Dva. Enemy tank 30-12, 17k dmg

My team went a collective 176-43 vs enemy 98-64. If we adjust for their Mercy having 3 elims and give her a generous +20 elims, it’s 118-64 vs 176-43

Still lost. I kinda blame myself still because it’s a team effort. I think it was a 5-4 defeat or something

Moira also gets a tiny bit of mitigated damage and I have no idea what that is. Maybe bullets that fly through her fade?

Share the replay code and we shall see.

Maybe you did good, but the other tank is a killer.

Not his point.
Whatsoever.
His point is about how he is unable to do anything but block when getting hard focused and spammed out by the entire team.
