Did you guys find that, if you carried a game, the system will make next game much harder, whatever you lose or win

Like if you got lots of solo kill in a game, the next game can be much much harder than it usually does. And one carried game can cause up to 5games to be ‘very hard mode’. The system sign your some games which are beyonged your ability to win, and cause your series continuous lose. It is like ‘if you try hard to win, the system will crash you badly in hours. try hard, lose hard, frustrated more’, expeicially in quick games, competitive is less controled buy this algorithm.

It look like the match system never encourage people to try hard or being a hero, all you can expect is that that is a random gambling program.

After you win some you will be forced to lose…it’s beyond my understanding why is that thing in the game…, they are trying to make bad players feel good by trying to give them a win, by grouping them with a good player and it’s usually terrible loss

i have this experience as well. it’s really annoying.

wish the game looked to a longer time of playing to evaluate your skill.

I’m sure that’s not how it works.

Lol yeah climbed 2500->2700 as hanzo then dropped in one streak to 2200 what the hell (and by streak i mean the losses are over many sessions and days but mainly without or 1-2 wins inbetween) winrate from 61% to 47%ish wtf blizzard

Honestly yeah it feels like it is like that for sure. Not going to bs, it’s for stuff like this that I am just not too interested in logging in anymore.

Yeah that’s the whole point of Blizzard’s laughable attempt at fairness, which they won’t even address. Not even so much as a “we’re sorry everyone, we’ll take a look at it,” or “we’re aware of the issues with MMR,” or “our bad.” They give the impression of being either ignorant or narcissistic since they have yet to even broach the topic of the MMR controversy. I imagine they believe themselves infallible and the rest of us plebians to be tin-foil-hat-wearing buffoons. Because such a lot of people have independently discovered something wrong, matchmaking not passing the smell test that is, that in itself should be cause enough for Blizz to investigate or do some minor rudimentary testing.

SR is totally meaningless when the example in the original post happens. Say you’re 2500 SR and you do very well one or two games in row, performing at Diamond or higher, and you gain the SR for those wins. Your next games which should be at roughly Skill Rating 2550 (+50 SR for your 2 wins) aren’t actually at the 2550 SR skill level. They’re actually whatever your MMR is currently at, which could be Diamond or higher. So you’re actually playing matches that would normally happen at a higher SR (a much higher SR), when in fact your SR is still at 2550. Effectively, you’re playing a Diamond or higher level match while at 2550 SR but not awarded an appropriate amount of SR for your two wins while performing at Diamond or higher. Blizzard tries everything they can think of to make it nearly impossible for good players to rank up at a reasonable rate.

The entire MMR system is an absolute abomination to a competitive system. It makes a mockery of competition and in addition to that, MMR is completely hidden from our scrutiny. Thanks Blizzard.

Not sure why my quick play games are so hard lately. I thought it was supposed to be a chill mode to try new characters but it seems like unless I’m trying my absolute hardest on one of my main heroes it’s a guaranteed loss almost every game. Also, I’m the highest rated player on my team like 80% of the time for some reason.

That’s Blizzard’s MMR system ruining your fun. Can’t even play the so-called “casual” modes without having MMR forced down our throats like the CIA waterboarding enemies of the state.

No. Just no. I know people who have climbed from Gold to Diamond very quicky and stayed there. I myself used to be Bronze and now I’m Platinum. What is happening is your are going on win streaks due to having the luck of being on good teams consecutively. This is then followed up by A. Harder matches because you have climbed and possibly B.bad luck with your teams. You then tilt, making you perform worse all while not being critical of your own performances, resulting in a longer losing streak than your winning streak.

The system may not be perfect but everyone I know who has played a lot has climbed at least a little bit. Instead of blaming the system, actually analyse where you went wrong and work on cutting out those mistakes. If that sounds like too much work don’t play comp.

quick play just put me in a game with 2 level 8’s on my team, I mean wtf I’m done.

Is this another veiled forced 50% thread?

hi! frequent smurfer here! (save your breath on the you ruin the game stuff, I smurf to learn new heros not to ruin low elo games) the reason this happens is to see if you are infact that much better than those around you.

for instance, on this smurf account though it was qp, I didn’t die once for my first 3 levels in every match. so it ramped me up from playing with silvers and bronzes (due to playing on a new account) to playing with golds and plats, again not a single death and no losses. so then it ramped me up to high diamonds and masters, now I’m where I belong and no longer destroying those around me. this, as unfortunate as it may be, is to keep players like me from ruining your games, because I want to learn a new hero or play on a different account.
