Did Tracer also "Hear the Melody"?

This may be a long one everyone, so I’ll try to explain this theory as simply as I can. (try explaining the effect Gravity has on Time Simply LUL).

OK to start we need to lay down some basic Physics. The only force that can effect the flow of Time, is Gravity.

Now let’s run through Tracers accident.
She was flying a jet called, The Slipstream, which according to our ground rule, used Gravity to fluctuate time. So Tracers timeline was normal then insert massive amount of gravity, and she is now uncontrollably going into the past and future, unable to sync back up with the present. Winston builds her Chronal Accelerator, and now she has an anchor to the present, that gives her some “rope to play with” that allows her to use her new powers. That’s just explaining with Physics how that worked.

During her uncontrollable fluctuations through time she had several out of body experiences, Most notably, she was a Maid in a Grand Mansion out in the Country Side.

Now lets talk about our new hero, Sigma.
Sigmas accident happened in a lab where he was swallowed by a black hole.
Time does not pass in Black holes so he was effectively frozen in the past, while trapped inside. He somehow learned to “Harness the Harness” and freed himself, gaining the powers of Gravity itself. but that’s not important. What’s important is his out of body experience. He heard the Universe singing to him and a Melody that drove him insane.

Let’s compare the two now. Both our heroes had accidents related to Time and Gravity that made them have out of body experiences. Is Sigmas Melody and Tracers Visions from the same source/the same thing, just being interpreted differently by the two. Or are they completely separate things. Or are they from some higher being. All we have for religion in this Universe, is the Iris. Maybe this is why Tracer is so interested in Mondatta and Zenyatta, and looks up to them as she wants to learn more. Is this how we get introduced some Zen lore? I think this theory can hold some water and makes sense to me. Feel free to share thoughts.

This was a dream she had, not an actual experience, and it comes from a Heroes of the Storm voice line, which is not canon to Overwatch. Its a reference to Cara Theobold’s role on Downton Abbey as a maid.

Yes. HotS mostly has references and fourth wall jokes. They aren’t canon.

Ohh i would love some voice line interaction between the 2

She obviously didn’t suffer the same intensity of symptoms, if it is the same affliction. Tracer has been seen to Blink upward in the shorts and comics- she can canonically achieve a fraction of the flight Sigma can. If she experienced any of what Sigma did while trapped in the temporal prison of the Slipstream cockpit, it was probably a low buzz of the full symphony that wracked Sigma’s brain, like the band was still practicing behind the curtains.

Exactly, the gravity within a blackhole is the strongest force of gravity we know of. So obviously Sigmas case was much more damaging to him compared to Tracers case. That could also explain why Sigma went mentally insane from it and not Tracer. He suffered a much more harsh version of the experience.

Not to mention that’s why he’s more powerful. Tracer’s technology only allows her to manipulate her own time and speed. Sigma can do the same, but can also manipulate the speed, placement and gravity of other objects and combatants.

I don’t think Sigma can manipulate his own time like Tracer, just his gravity. I think his mind is segmented into 3 different states of himself so he basically has 3 personalities. The scientist, afraid insane asylum patient and the mind controlled talon operative.

I had a theory that the religion that follows the iris was based on black holes, maybe this could provide some connection between Zen and Sigma.

Zenyatta and Sigma have worked together. (Theory) (My theory)
