His whole purpose is to harass and kill squishies, who happen to become less survivable

Roadhog for one, you stick next to him and it makes Winston’s job a lot harder
Bastion for another, you can maneuver around him, but if they group up and hold important angles then it’ll be tough to dismantle them
Zenyatta definitely makes the monkey a lot easier to deny, alonside characters like McCrack to disrupt or Soldier to just not get killed
Hammond and Doomfist are also great at disrupting, damaging, and chasing Winston off
Ashe can easily do tons of damage to Winston while keeping him at arm’s length.
There’s definitely options out there, and Winston doesn’t shut any of them down on his own.
D.va’s issue is that defense matrix is so strong that outside of beams, she can just stop anybody from getting through with their damage. And then the beam characters aren’t typically mobile or ranged enough to deal with her properly if the D.va knows what she’s doing.
None of that to say D.va is unstoppable, just that her main counter in beams is unreliable.
Damn, at least they could have at least done some thing with his jump, I think that’s the problem. They could have either:
Nerf the distance
or
increase the cooldown

Yes because if there is one thing I know about Zen it’s that he is very effective against dive comps.
None of these are counters.
His only counters are F tier unviable heroes and even those are questionable. Not diving a turret form bastion isn’t that hard unless you just can’t keep your finger off shift.
At least Zarya has never been worse than B tier, none of Winstons alleged counters are viable heroes. He needs a strong nerf

Or they could’ve done what they promised and slapped a health nerf or a shield nerf on one of the most mobile heroes in game but no, Hanzos mobility was the priority here

Fair point. I didn’t have shield on my mind when writing that. They could half the shield or just take 50 off.
Who? The armour changes have made hog pretty useless against a decent monkey that manages his jump CD - hog’s first 3-4 shots are just to remove armour and then monkey is already gone. Who else counters monkey well?
DVa at least has Zarya to soft-counter her and if your team goes another beam hero like symm you get a good counter. But I’m not seeing effective countering of a decent Monkey.
He lands, any squishy near him dies, he gets out. Often he can stay in for 2-3 kills depending whether the team can break his bubble.
Hog is more of an annoyance to him now than a real counter.

Probably for the best considering he’s correct. All of Winston’s counters are garbage, and the monkey was already strong as hell last season before all the health nerfs.
I really can’t stand him playing against him right now.

Armor is too good now. I think both dive tanks should trade 150 armor for health.

DM is far more powerful denying people’s abilities AND enabling aggro than Winston’s bubble will ever be.
