Did they nerf Defense Matrix even further?

When McCree ults I seem to only be able eat the bullet that was meant for me. All other targets get hit even though my DM is covering McCree entirely.
Is this a bug or a nerf? Did this happen to anyone else?

You’re probably only going to eat multiple bullets if you’re close to McCree or his targets are right behind you or right in front of you. The matrix hitbox isn’t as big as the animation makes it look.

Make sure you are aiming the matrix at the gun, not just mccree so that as many shots are blocked as possible

Thanks for your answers. The thing is I do everything as usual. And it has worked everytime. But since the last patch it kinda feels different. But maybe it’s just my timing. I gotta keep an eye on it.

You probably was standing too far from Mccree.

But the bullet that was meant for me got denied by the DM (I even heard the sound when Dva eats ults). And the Mercy who was between me and McCree got hit although I covered McCree.

I feel something weird too. Like enemy Moira’s death-ball is right in my DM but I can eat it only after aiming directly at it. Something is clearly not as it used to be.

Nothing new really. The DM can be very inconsistent.

Don’t even get me started on reaper. One time he just dropped down between me and my mercy and he still killed her when the DM was passing through both of them.

No because I ate the bullet that would have hit me. That’s what confuses me. It’s like I ate only what would hit me (as Dva) not the DM.

Yeah that happens to me too but I always thought it was because of the angle.

Yeah maybe I am just noticing myself. It happened 2 times in a row and always only McCree. Also his eaten bullets don’t show up in the kill feed anymore.

Ok, so my theory is that your Mercy just walk into the Deadeye the exact moment DM ran out.

Like the very milliseconds DM ran out your Mercy just peaked and died.

But since I don’t have access to your POV and I have is your description, it is really hard to imagine that scenario.

Ye, it happens to me too after patch ( also after patch “eaten” deadeye don’t shows in killfeed anymore )
