I just played a match on hollywood. Both teams got the car to the end, my team did it faster. Then my team starts the third round on attack, fail to capture the point, and we lose. No switching sides to see if the other team can cap it, it’s just over.
They win, despite my team taking the first round faster and them getting the easy starting position on round 3.
I’ve been away since season 1 and I swear it wasn’t like that before. When did it change? This is complete trash.
Edit: Sorry all, I can’t post a replay code because it cycled out. Whatever version of the ruleset people are describe below, what I saw was either a bug or me somehow mentally blanking out an entire round. The rules apparently have not changed.
Thats weird, USUALLY it switches to the other team. If they didn’t make it to your point, then you win. If they get to your point on the 2nd round, then you lose. Hopefully, I understood what you meant
I said OVER a minute, not UNDER a minute. If OP’s team had under a minute then the enemy team would get 1 minute and OP’s team would get 1 minute plus whatever time they had left at the last round.
However, as I stated, If OP’s team finished with more than minute and the enemy team finished in OT then the enemy team would not get a chance to attack again and only OP’s team gets to attack.
It’s like this. If both teams win the round, they both get one chance at attacking. If one team won the first round with under 1 minute, they get 1 minute to attack in overtime. If one team won with over 1 minute in the first round, they get however much time they finished with to attack in OT. THIS IS HOW IT WORKS
Maybe you misunderstood. If both teams fully cap as OP originally stated. Enemy team runs out of time (they are in OT) and OP’s team fully caps with OVER a minute. Then ONLY OP’s team gets one more atack on first point and they only need one tick.
I am afraid you are very much mistaken lol.
Let me lay it out for you fully.
Both team cap all 3 points.
If Both team cap with time left on the clock then they both get to attack again obviously.
If OP’s team caps with UNDER a minute and the enemy team caps in OT then both teams attack again. OP’s team gets whatever they had on the clock plus 1 minute and the enemy team only gets a minute.
If OP’s team caps with OVER a minute left and the enemy team caps in OT then only OP’s team gets one more attack and they only need a single tick on the first point to win. If they don’t get that tick then it is a draw.
I’m afraid if you disagree with this then it’s amazing that you have almost 5k posts and don’t understand the fundamentals of the game…
You do realize that you can run out of time AND cap. It’s called OT. Not once did I say either team didn’t fully cap. Both teams fully capping first round is the entire premise of this discussion.
Oh my god… did you seriously not know that this is how hybrid maps work rofl.
If you are being genuine then this is actually sad and you still have a lot to learn…
Big oof my dude…
Just in case you don’t believe me here is the official ruleset from the wiki… Which is exactly as I said…
If both teams reach the final checkpoint, meaning the scores are tied. An extra rotation will begin.
Extra rotation rule:
The team with the least time remaining starts the next rotation as the first attacking team.
If both teams have more than 60 seconds left, a new rotation will start in which both teams use their remaining time.
If only one team has less than 60 seconds remaining time (but more than 0 seconds), they are granted additional time to increase their remaining time to 60 seconds. And the other team is also granted the same amount of time. A new rotation will begin.
If both teams have less than 60 seconds remaining time, the team with the least remaining time is granted additional time to increase their remaining time to 60 seconds. And the other team is also granted the same amount of time. A new rotation will begin.
In the special case of one team have at least 60 seconds remaining time, and the other team have 0, no additional time is given to any team. The team which still has remaining time will start the final game of the match on attacking side. If the attacking team win a tick within that time, the match ends immediately and they are the winner; otherwise, the match ends in a draw.
I mean… It’s all laid out here for everyone to see that after 7 years of playing this game you don’t understand how hybrid map OT works… there’s no point sin using childlike tactics deny it…
You said I was wrong “rofl” and the wiki says exactly as I stated. I mean I’d be embarrassed too if I was you, but there’s no need to be childish and weird.
Well if the enemy team capped all 3 points in OT. And OP’s team fails to cap then it SHOULD be a draw. Which is why I was asking if they misremembered and could check.
Nice try changing the subject though. I don’t think I need to explain myself to someone that doesn’t understand the basics of an OG gamemode to be honest…
