I watched every game and i heard that you get OWL tokens when you watch starting today but i never got them and i looked in the chat of the OWL stream on twitch and there were lots of people who did not get them ether i know this is not a huge thing i just wanted to know why some people got it and some people don’t?

I my self am in the same boat here, whoever i do have a theory for why i maybe didn’t get it (might not apply to you). My theory is that Twitch will put your account on away after a short while of inactivity, which you can see under your user name in the top right hand corner, and becouse the games are active when i need to sleep (i live in Sweden which uses the Central European time zone) my theory is that becouse i had the game upp all night “watching” the games but i was inac it didn’t give me the tokens.

If this is true i can’t really say but if it is then Blizzard should really adress that becouse i have been looking around and can’t find anything about such information.

(i also did disable sleep mode on my computer to be exstra safe)

ya but i was there watching it the whole time the whole time how does twitch know if your there or not like if you have it on full screen watching i would think that they would think you are active

I didn’t receive mine yet either. It could just be taking a long time but what others have said about the away status may be true also.

I was actually watching all of the games but where the problem comes in is if I don’t move my mouse or type in the impossible to keep up with chat, it will default set me to away status even if I’m just sitting here watching. I noticed this a few times during the stream and I had to move my mouse every now and then to get my little dot at the top to go green from yellow. I also know for a fact it was green during the end of at least 5 maps.

I really hope this is not the case.

same here, assuming maybe some kinda system lag… it took 2 or 3 days to get the bonus 100 from adding an email address

New update guys. Apparently Blizzard knows about this issue and is actively working on it!

Here’s the latest from their official Twitter: https: //twitter. com/overwatchleague/status/966494797623001088

You’ll have to remove the two spaces I added as it won’t let us post links here for some reason.

You’re suggesting that i stay up all night on work days to watch the Overwatch League? No thank you

It’s because of time zones. The person is probably from EU

Same thing last night in Russia. Watched all night (from my bed) and get nothing for this.

This is only a useful tip for people in America. The streaming schedule is extremely unfriendly to anyone else. For example, where I am, stream starts at midnight.

If you’re an Australian, you won’t get any.

Thanks Blizzard.

Funny…I HAVE been watching…for both days…and have received 12/24 tokens. If you’re saying because I’m not actively engaging in some stupid copy/paste that will get scrolled off in 1 second that I’m not watching and thus don’t deserve the tokens…well, there are no words.

Yesterday, I submitted a ticket. It read thus:

"I watched every match and every map of the Overwatch League on Wednesday, February 21, 2018. I watched them via Twitch app, Chromecast to my TV. My Battlenet and Twitch accounts are linked. I did not receive ANY Overwatch Leage Tokens for my participation, and assume I was also not deemed eligible for any of the drawings.

If using Chromecast to watch is a disqualification, it is very important to include that in your terms & conditions (as currently they say nothing of the sort). If it is not, then I have been deprived of my rewards for participation.

Clear feedback either way would be greatly appreciated. Thank you."

There wasn’t a category for this, so I submitted it as “Not Listed Here.” Before I could submit it, I was given a list of “things to try,” including “how to link your Twitch account.”

I received this in reply:

"Thank you for contacting us today regarding your concerns with not receiving any Overwatch league tokens after watching all of the Overwatch league games. So first we’re going to want to make sure everything is connected correctly because I have seen twitch link up the wrong Blizzard account on a number of occasions.

-Twitch.tv: Link your Twitch account and make sure you’ve logged in.

-MLG.com: Link your MLG account and log in. -Overwatchleague.com: Log in to your Blizzard account. -Overwatch League mobile app: Download the Overwatch League app for Android or iOS, and make sure you're logged in.

Note: Google Chrome has a power saving feature which will pause a broadcast if you mute the tab and navigate to a different tab—this will prevent you from earning tokens.

I have verified that you have been earning those tokens after looking at your account and I would recommend if you feel like there is a problem to report it here:

I do sincerely appreciate you being with us over the years and that does really mean a lot. If you ever run into anything else at all in the future, don’t hesitate to hit us up. We will always do everything in our power to help you out and have your back."

  1. I have now received tokens for 2/22/2018, but not 2/21/18.

  2. I feel if I tell you it’s linked, and you tell me two times to ensure it is linked prior to submitting the ticket, it’s insulting to condescend to remind me how to do it. ESPECIALLY if you just “verified” I am indeed receiving SOME tokens.

  3. If this is a known issue, it’d make sense to mention it in said response, rather than claim “working as intended.”

Original reply edited to remove links. I did NOT call out the individual SGM, nor include the ticket #, I’m just doing what the SGM told me to do: Taking the continued issue to the exact forum to which I was directed.

The problem seems to be that Twitch will put your account to sleep but still be playing. I am not active in chat, I just want to watch the games and chat goes to fast to really get involved. So I also did not get all the tokens because I was watching in full screen and not being active in chat. That is a bit broken.

I live in the central european time zone. the start time for the first and last match is 1:00pm and 10:00pm respectivly, and considering i have to go to school to get my education (which i do care about) i can not watch the games during the times to get the tokens. AND i am not condemming blizzard for doing this becouse this puts alot less strain on the athletes

It’s not Blizzard’s fault. The Australian government has a law banning anything that is gambling, and considering that there’s a chance to get 100 tokens, that does fall under what Australia considers gambling.

Even if that might be the case (which it is my theory) Blizzard does not include that in their Terms to recieve it.

What do I need to do to earn League Tokens while watching Overwatch League on Twitch?

  1. Connect your Blizzard Battle .net account to your Twitch account.
Please note, Xbox One® and PlayStation®4 system players must also have their Xbox Live or PlayStation®Network account linked to their Battle .net account. Follow these steps to do so.

  2. Visit twitch .tv/overwatchleague.

  3. Watch the Overwatch League on Twitch all season long to get one token for every complete game you watch. Each match between two teams includes at least four games, and there are three matches every night… That’s (counts fingers) at least 12 tokens if you watch an entire night of OWL.

  4. PROFIT.

This is what it says copied

It is well within their power to find a work around.

I did not receive the correct amount of tokens from the Thursday Feb. 22 broadcast (substantially less that I should have), but I did receive the correct amount from the Wednesday Feb. 21 broadcast.

I do use Google Chrome as my browser and both days I put twitch on fullscreen and sat back and watched. I did not post in twitch chat and both days went long periods of time without touching my computer at all.

Edit: Thought I would add this: I contacted support, got a similar reply as above, and was told to post here.

this is wrong, in my twitch inventory say i get 45 tokens, but after go to overwatch and i see only 24 tokens
