It seems now that on the daily searches it takes many more to get 5 points. It used to be 1 search for 5 points up to 100 points a way on mobile and another 170 on PC.
Now instead of breezing through this in less than a minute I have to search random things (even just counting numbers up) way more.
They know what they’re doing…
They nerfed it… And added cooldowns to searches. I used to just search “Jack black movies” and click each one since it counted as a search. Now it doesn’t anymore PLUS you have to wait 5 seconds before making another search that gives points.
I don’t if there point of using rewards anymore since they removed " Daily edge search points" and daily streak existed for one day and not available anymore.
I am surprised it hasn’t been removed completely yet.
All the services that offers some kind of points always end up getting canceled at some point.
So that’s what’s going on. I take the same approach as you do, but I’d just assumed it was something buggy on their end when I couldn’t race through it in under a minute today. Hey ho.

Oh, im not the only one then. I can only get 150 daily. 90 from PC and 60 from mobile.

Such a shame that this was easier way to get ow coins than in the game. Can’t bear to do more grind.
By the by - is the 200 coin option in MS Rewards currently unavailable? At least in the UK? I get the option to cash in, but it comes up with an error after the verification stage, and I know it’s not my phone or anything - I tested it by spending 200 MS points on some crappy sweepstakes thing and that went through fine.
Fortunately im at 8k so it wont be hard enough to get 2k points for that 1000 coins for the BP
UK here, did this fine yesterday about 6.30 pm, on the smartphone. 200 overwatch coins worked fine.
Interestingly I was doing a similar sort of search daily and my account got shadow banned where I could earn points but not redeem them. Looks like they are really cracking down on doing things like repetitive searches etc.
About a year later I could finally redeem again.
Looks like they’ve made a temporary fix. The cooldowns are still there but shorter and the searching streaks are back. The daily streak bonuses are bigger. Though the Edge opening reward isn’t there yet.
