DF should be reworked into a tank

It would solve most of the problems that makes him annoying to play against, it would add another tank to the game without the work of adding another character, talon would have a tank sooner, his abilities would make more sense with their focus on disruption and combo setup instead of just deleting people for free.

Idea:

  • Set his health pool to 200 health - 50 armor - 200 shields - 450 total.

  • Change the shield generation passive to instead of giving shields, reduce the cooldown of his other two abilities by one second when he hits people with an ability.

  • Decrease the damage of all his abilities to a point where his punch deal 100dmg and 150dmg into a wall and his slam/shoryuken combo deal 125dmg at max.

  • Change his ultimate to be a stronger and wider version of one of his three abilities. Upon activating meteor strike, DF would have a window of time to activate one of his three abilities, wich would be way stronger when used in this way, and it would be activated even while the ability is on cooldown, and reset the cooldown of the other two abilities.

The Actual difference from a regular use and the ultimate use would be:
- Punch: Bigger hitbox, capable of hitting multiple opponents, push them further away, deal 150dmg and 200dmg into a wall
- Slam: DF jumps higher, slam covers a bigger area, pull people that are far away, deals slightly more damage than a regular slam, always at max dmg unrelied to distance covered
- Uppercut: Bigger hitbox, push people horizontally as well (for env kills), deals more damage than a regular uppercut

nah, i just want him to be placed in the support category which is an idea as silly as making doomfist into a tank

The effort you put into criticism is really touching.

I agree if we make Brig a tank too.

Why is it silly? He already has a large hitbox, lots of hp/shields and disrupts the enemy team like no other. I don’t see the problem with buffing his survivability and nerfing his ohk potential.

You do realize that if doomfist used all of his cooldowns to get in the fight, and then the fight lasts longer than 10 seconds, he’s not going to last on the frontline, right? Even with 450HP.

Insert “I’m in danger” meme but it’s the “You’re in danger” variant BUT it’s Genji’s face photoshopped over Ralph’s and it says “You need healing”

It would not be a bad idea.

I just think that she should retain her ability to heal in some way. She could keep her repair kit, but it would only grant the temp armor, without healing per se.

Sounds like Hammond.

I would be very down for losing the AOE healing and in return maintain her ult and armor pack, but make it a skill shot.

should sombra become a tank too because she disrupts enemies

  • He effectively would have 250 regenerative armor health, since 50 armor is placed before the 200 shields
  • His ult as i explained would solve this, since it reset the CD of his other abilities

With her hitbox? … no. That’s like saying tracer is a tank because she creates so much space/ disrupts the team.

More like if hammond and winston had a lovechild.

All characters should become tanks :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I’m still trying to guess what is this guy’s problem.

He would need buffs to his gun, too.

Once doomfist uses his abilities and pellets, he is screwed. Yeah, cooldown reset would help- for a minute. But once it’s all gone, he would just feed. He wouldn’t be feared. He couldn’t consistently apply pressure to the enemy team. That’s why he should stay DPS- so he can choose engagements and get in and out.

No, absolutely not, this would ruin the whole point of the hero.
