This will probably fall on deaf ears but I gotta say it. Been playing OW for a long, long time. I absolutely love widowmaker, but with the recent buffs of a lot of heroes other than her, it is no longer fair. I am decent and I had some suggestions to make her more balanced. Reducing her health to 175 is silly, esp with some recent buffs on heroes as well as newly introduced heroes. I can easily turn on sombra and get her but now I barely have time to turn and I play on super high sensitivity. Put her back to 200 health. Why is widows ult so weak? ESP that one of Hanzos simple abilities with a low cd is essentially her ult. Why not let her be invisible but kinda can be seen (think predator when moving) for the duration? Her cd on her hook should be cut down by a second or two since she cannot get away easily especially since you took away a snipers range…which is very silly as they are snipers. Hanzo wasn’t nerfed in this way. I will still play her and do well, but I shouldn’t have to struggle to be relevant in game. Just throwing some tid bits out there for hopefully you all to ponder.
I’d argue widow has one of the stronger dps ults in the game.
Her Hp and mine should be buffed imo and the maps she was overpowered on changed just like they’re doing with route 66 and then the falloff nerf reverted cuz it makes her charge have to be higher for a lot of shots, which means her fire rate is nerfed sometimes as much as 25% which is a huge nerf.
This would give her a greater map variety she can work on while removing the cheese she could do on some maps.
Mine should be her fallback and flankers should have to look for and avoid it or she has the advantage on the duel. Right now mine is mostly an early warning system or an annoyance since she can’t win the duels even if they are poisoned with her water bottle sprayer anyway.

Yeah, I feel very stormtrooper-esque most of the time with her ar. Make it a br with burst shots and better precision would be cool.
I am also an avid Widow player, but like… Idk if the issue will be solved by just buffing Widow. These Sombra changes make certain heroes irrelevant in comparison. I tried playing against her as Reaper yesterday and got shut out 9/10 fights because she was just the better variation of Reaper. Her silence is too oppressive even at 1 second, it needs to be removed.
As for widow, while I struggle to play her sometimes, it’s not because widow is “too hard to play” or anything. It’s more so the fact that there are too many other heroes who are broken in the game atm. Illari/Kiriko/Sombra and essentially anyone on the Support roster who can two tap.
If these heroes were tuned down, Widow would be much more reliable (maybe change her venom mine still though because that thing is doodoo).
Have the devs changed Havana, Circuit Royal, Busan Downtown or Illios Ruins to better fit Widow’s existence?
Very valid points. Sombra is just wildin right now. I would imagine it would be easier for them to buff widow vs nerfing a lot of other heroes. Widow is just hated by many because let’s face it, most widow players that are good, are hard to kill, so the devs listened to the bulk of unskilled players and nerfed her to oblivion. There’s still nothing more satisfying (to me at least, in any game) is hitting those crispy, crazy headshots.
Which is the problem. That’s how we got into this whole mess in the first place. Blizzard keeps pushing out these “easy” solutions to problems and that’s why we keep having these “easy” heroes ruling the game.
Look at Illari for example. She’s the spitting image of what (some) Supports wanted during Season 1 of OW2. Someone who can defend themselves and heal there team. But guess what? That does not work because not only does she stop them from flanking, she’s stops them from existing while also being able to heal her whole team.
This dev team is incompetent and the streamers like KarQ and Flats keep reinforcing these dumb ideas that certain heroes are not broken just because they can’t do everything.
