I love stadium and hearing that new heroes & new maps won’t be added to stadium anymore is heartbreaking. I’ve been playing stadium more than other game modes ever since it came out. I’ve been playing overwatch since 2018, and I have 211 total hours stadium while I only have 106 hours in regular comp.
I like stadium because it’s a different way to play overwatch. I still like the core game mode, but after playing it for so long, I wanted a new way to play overwatch. I still love the game and love the feel of playing the different heroes. When PVE was announced, I was so excited for it. When it got cancelled, I was crushed. When stadium was announced, I was so excited and got really into it. Now this is just another punch in the gut.
My question to the devs is if they won’t update stadium anymore, what is something new they can add to the core game mode? I know new heroes & new maps can be added, but what about new MODES? What about new ways to play the game? Stadium was literally a way to add new ways to play the game.
I ask the devs & management to please reconsider the plan for stadium & instead continue to update stadium. Or if the devs won’t continue updating stadium, I ask them to please rework stadium into some mode that they WILL continue to update. If stadium doesn’t get updates, it will basically die out.
Lastly, sort of off topic, but if blizzard is killing off my favorite game mode, I really have no desire to buy any more future skins. Give me a reason to keep playing and maybe I’ll support the game financially again.
