Devs looking into ways to bring back old battlepass skins

Thoughts?

Neat. I mainly care about old shop skins or “season” skins. Hope they bring those back.

The OW shop has something new every week yet hasn’t recycled any new OW2 skins yet.

That dude who spams Cyberdemon threads is probably stoked right now.

  • Release one battle-pass every season.
  • You can buy previous battle-passes in the store for the same price.
  • There is no more time-limits to which to complete the battle-passes. You are guaranteed all items in the battle-pass as they don’t disappear after a time-limit.
  • You can switch between which battle-pass you want to level up as you see fit.
  • Prestige tiers are only available in the “current battle-pass” to encourage buying the new one every season, but if you don’t, you only lose out on titles.

How to make battle-passes ethical and fair to the consumer, while still making it so whales will buy every one.

“Looking into ways”
just add them to the shop in the coming weeks, why does it need big roundtable discussions?

They definetly should. I hate fomo.

They are most likely discussing how much they can charge their customers for these skins

I think that was inevitable. I assumed they would have a sort of anniversary or repeat skin events with overlapping holidays. They already put in the legacy credits, they can make it option for purchase that way and/or put it in shop as a bundle in various combinations, maybe single pieces for “discount” prices.

Scammed people out of their money with FOMO battle passes and then re release them later for more money, with the added bonus that they wont need to be creative with new skins/content for future passes.
They already put off-topic skins in the pass anyway only to put the on-topic season skins in the shop for 20 dollars each.

this sounds like amogus

I’m sorry, I’ve never played it, so I dont know what you refer to, they have ethical battle-passes?

Among us has this system where after every match you earn “beans” or some other currency that you use to progress what are essentially cosmetic branches. The currency you earn corresponds to the branch of cosmetics you currently have enabled. Some are limited time events like Hololive, Arcane, some Christmas ones etc. You buy those passes but you can keep them forever and can level them up whenever you want after they stop being sold.
