We’re lucky to have developers that care to this extent. Overwatch is a huge game and it isn’t easy to modify existing features (it took weeks to implement Road buffs because of how time consuming it is to create/modify new animations and rewrite existing character flags and functionality, both on the client and server) and it is very time consuming to add new ones (maps probably take half a year or more to complete). They’re humans and they’re trying their best to not directly wreck the game through modifications. I imagine they’re working on a huge amount of stuff they’re not ready to talk about yet.
Any ex-TF2 player remember the phlog buffs?
Dark times… Dark times…
Just because it’s more than competitors doesn’t mean it’s enough. Especially with the bar seemingly set so low.
Hold my phone OP.
Sure they do. That’s why LoL, Dota 2, and even HotS get more heroes and balance changes faster.
Those games have pick and ban and hundreds of dumpster tier heroes.
And OW has no pick and ban (cause it’s poorly made) and handfuls of dumpster tier heros because it doesn’t even have (more than 2) dozens. OW’s balance is not better than those games.
Pick and ban is a time consuming way to cover for poor balancing.
OW has no cover.

I find that people are pretty unfair about their assessment of how much the devs listen. They’re engaged with the community, and just because they don’t reply every time we vomit our feelings all over the forum doesn’t mean they’re detached from things.
If you are talking about Brig, her winrate was dumb. A triple hybrid hero shouldn’t have happened in the first place. And it was way too easy to combo a 200hp hero down to 10hp.
A lot of people complaining about her balance, don’t care about balance, they are complaining because they lost their easy-mode climb hero with an absurdly high average winrate.
It doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, it only matters if it is a good game or not.
paladins devs and lol devs listen a lot more

It’s moreso for console reasoning. Ow devs have to get through Microsoft and Sony certification which does take awhile. They want to release patch on every platform at the same time. Most of the changes they make are good nonetheless. They are some bad ones but most are good.
I think this game needs at least One more main tank and main healer before we can start looking for a hero ban system of even 1 a team, one team bans rein so you counter ban winston, and leave them without the two core styles of play, same with healers, ban ana, and ban mercy in the same game, and then you’ve got a real oddball matchup with little choice to be had.
I would trust the devs if they didnt do consecutive nerfs in one go like they just did with Brig and Doomfist (which is stupid)
That is not at all an excuse in the modern days truthfully, it’s because Blizzard is an archaic company that refuses to bend to other peoples rules unless it is one hundred percent called for because they’re so far up their own YOINKS that they use this as an excuse.
Following this logic games like Smite that are both PC and console s games should be like OW but they aren’t they get constant patch updates and fast hot fixes without any delay on console or PC.
They listen when it suits.
Anyone that thinks Brig is OP is a “Forum Brigitte” but when ‘der prrrrrroooooooos’ start whining about her OMG YES SIR WE NERF RIGHT AWAY!
I’m actually really impressed with the devs atm for their proper treatment of these non fps heroes. I couldn’t be happier with the CC and stun nerfs to oppressive heroes that literally sucked the fun out of the game for me. Low iq, low risk combos like Doom’s and Brig’s have no place in a competitive fps esport title.
I look forward to seeing what the future holds. Things have been so spicy lately.
I think you mean wonderful times.
Muffled cackling in the distance.
They listen after like 6 months of complaints lmao
Treyarch and Epic Games listen to their fans more than Bliz lol
