I feel like if I pick my character first, then I should be the team captain and all the other players should be assigned characters of my choosing, but chosen only from the list of the current meta, top tier characters.
Why do they even have these different characters if I don’t want people playing them?
Have you ever considered 6 stacking?

About 1 out of 20 games, someone will complain about my hero choice. I always want to answer “If you want a voice in what your teammates pick, then you should just use LFG.”
But LFG doesn’t provide the layman with what he needs to get what he wants i.e. control over his teammates’ hero picks.
I’m astonished Overwatch didn’t have an LFG on launch day and saddened that today’s LFG doesn’t have more QoL like I suggest in the link.
All I’m asking for is for giant spread sheets to be added in ga…
it would be nice if your suggestion worked
I always thought it would be cool if the highest ranked person on your team had a little “team captain” logo on their portrait

If you assign me as someone I hate playing…
I will 100% throw the match without a second thought

You had me going there till the end.
I’d rate the bait a quality 8.
But that may just be because I’ve seen serious people present dumber ideas.

then you’ll get banned. If the team captain, either first to pick, or the highest ranked as suggested above, gives you a character you don’t love, you’ll learn to love them or you won’t play. It’s the only way to get a decent comp. I should have to watch your Tracer / Sombra duo screw off for 25 minutes.
the problem with LFG is that group leaders don’t have the tools they need to run groups with any consistency, NAMELY:---------------
mutually accumulated win/loss/tie record with everyone we meet (to make sure we aren’t getting sabotaged)-----------------
individual hero sr (informational purposes only, so we can see how good you can play heroes at a glance)------------------
a player directory (basically reverse LFG, why can people look for groups, but groups can’t look for people)----…
this is what I need to make LFG work, unless I’d like to have my group sit in LFG for the rest of January. After all, LFG participants are still strangers, are they not?
Nah, no one gets banned for throwing. Most your games would be people throwing if they are forced into playing a character they don’t like.
ORRR
It will seem like they are throwing because you forced them into playing a character they aren’t good with.

They will be good after I force them for 20-30 hours.
No they won’t be.
My proof is Ethernyet, he’s a poster on here, maybe you know him.

I just troll the forums. I don’t take notes on the who is who.
You do know there are other ways to make a 6 stack right?

no, tell me how
this is what I think I need to find the teammates I want:

if you can think of a better way that yields the same results as my idea, I’m all ears
