- Can only play the role you queued for.
- Separate role SR. (3 SR)
- 5 placement matches per role.
- Competitive points per role. Meaning possibly 3 times the CP.
- Beta competitive season starting august 13th. Lasts 2 weeks.
- September 1st : Role queue on for everyone. (QP, comp + some arcade modes)
- Quick Play Classic as an arcade mode.
- Reward system for most impacted roles. (Unsure what this means)

First thought. There were a whole lotta people swearing to me it would NEVER happen and willfully ignoring the MOUNTAINS of evidence that it was happening so to them I say “pay attention to what is going on around you and do not just believe what you wanna believe because you want it to be true”
On the topic the fact that its coming its coming to quick play is a TERRIBLE idea. Quick Play will be unplayable now. Comp NEEDED it badly but Quick Play cannot survive with role queue. Quick Play is where the 5 DPS comps are just the standard and you live with it just to get a quick game of OW in but now you just took the quick out of quick play.

Seems nice (though I’m against it, but now it’s too late), but remove the incentives.
I really don’t want roadhogs and dps moira in my team just because there is lootboxes involved.
Also I really believe there is no point in forcing into QP

Uninstalling. Forcing me to role lock in quickplay will kill my ability to flex and will kill my ability to play this game efficiently and for fun. MMR matchmaking is still garbage and nobody still takes quickplay seriously to role lock for it.
No items, Fox only, Final destination. 2-2-2 only for the whole game or go home.

…you DO know that role lock isn’t going to stop people from throwing and force them to play cohesively in quick play right
if they really had to add it to QP, at least add another queue where it isnt enforced, dont just add another mode to arcade

Adding it to qp was a stupid idea… if it doesn’t work out then maybe this will be what makes me quit ow
