Iām glad that theyāre addressing the whole ādonāt bother capping last pointā strat on Clash. It felt like an awkward, unintentional quirk of the mode. I donāt know whether the solution will work or not but hey, the first step is to accept you have a problem, right?

To me it sounds like you will be able to set yourself personal drives for what you want to achieve each season and upon hitting your goal it gives you some bonus reward. (Probably bonus comp points)

Not really. A lot of people stop playing the game because they have nothing to play for. Most people have hit their peak rank and wont climb much higher

Are you real? Do you really have that kind of poor listening comprehension? The meeting was not what the skin will be but who gets the skin and they obviously decided it fit Reaperās theme. Also per the Cyber Demon skin do you really not see the connection between a robot ninja and a robot demon? Was that one really hard for you to see?

Reaper is lowkey the common sense approach; I was just convinced they would not utilize such a powerful and rare tool. Thatās why everyone is shocked. Aināt nobody believed they would make the death obsessed fanatic Anubis because itās TOO obvious and Blizzard has been known to take the fruit cake route.
Doom does have a pretty nice skin regardless, it gives me Black Panther vibes and I love it.

How can you be this dense. Those two things are one and the same. They had the Anubis concept picked out already and they spent a grand total of 5 mins discussing who would get the skin. There is 0 thought behind why Reaper got that skin other than āhurr durr, both are death related, death god go brrr.ā
There are so many other better options for this skin theme that the whole community managed to call out for months now and they some how picked the least fitting option.
Cybernetics is the one and only connection that they have together. Genji is a kind-hearted, humorous, spiritual, contemplative, cybernetically augmented ninja. What about that to you sounds like a demon possessed murder machine set in a cyberpunk theme?

You dont need to be a 1:1 personality fit to get a skin. We would have to delete 90% of the skins in the game if that were the case. Genji has more in common with Cyber Demon thematically than most heroes in this game with their skins.
Meanwhile again there is 0% chance they actually had skins ready to go. That is not how design works. That was a meeting to decide who gets the mythic Anubis skin and it was almost certainly before any actual work on it started. It was not āwe have skin A and we have skin B lets decide which we are putting outā. It was āWho fits the God of Death Anubis the most? Reaperā¦ anyone fit it better? Noā¦ okay thenā. I get it. I like to play Ram a lot to but it certainly fits Reaper best and I can see why the meeting took 5 minutes.
Edit: I also just realized he is one of the few heroes currently IN Egypt at the moment. Basically only ones with any connection to Egypt would be Reaper, Soldier, Ana, and Pharah, and its not robotic enough for Pharah, Ana has a mythic, and so its between Soldier and Reaper.
The appearance doesnāt matter. Itās the concept of the skin that matters. The appearance is just a secondary failure because they didnāt put any thought into what problems it would cause in game and what fans who arenāt in favor of an Anubis themed skin might think of having three identical headpieces.
Yeah, and I guarantee you that you can find out who that is by scrolling through any of the comments on that video, in the forums, or literally anywhere that season 12ās mythic is being discussed. The whole community knows who wouldāve fit that skin gloriously.
Anubis isnāt even a God of death, heās just a overrated tour guide that helps people get to the realm of the dead. He is more Shepard than he is murderer. He fits Ramattra a million times better and it isnāt even close.
He is not. He was last seen on a Talon airship after leaving a demolished Null Sector ship with Sombra and Mauga. The place he could most potentially be in without a direct reference to him would be Shambali since that was the last reference to a Talon base made in one of ventureās ācinematics.ā
Last time he was in Egypt was during Anaās escapades with Jack during a comic that came out several years ago.
