Because if they revert her back people will “cry for a month about how she is op” and they will nerf her again, so it’s an endless cycle. Plus a majority of the community seems to think she’s balanced now.

A slight difference:
Devs openely said that they didn’t liked mass rez… To be honest no one apart from a few mercy mains liked it, so the revert will never happen (thank god).
Doomfist on the other hand
People wanted him dead. And they got what they wanted… kinda, because those nerfs are actually not quite bad.

Fun is subjective. and as someone who plays Mercy,I still find her plenty useful.
The devs removed Mass Rez and reworked Mercy for a reason. It caused an unhealthy playstyle which the devs didn’t want.
They’ve said,not once,that they won’t revert her. And everyone knows what they mean by that.
And just like Mercy,DF did need nerfs. Besides,it’s better they took their time with nerfing Mercy instead of mass-nerfing her immediately.

No,I mean,his shields def. got slightly overbuffed and having CC in his whole kit is ridiculous,but I’ll take the nerfs they announced
The standard is both of them got nerf.
One just took longer than the other, but it’s the same standard.
Both of the requests are not mutually exclusive, so the same group of people who asked for a revert can be the same group that asked for Doom nerf.

You just explained to yourself why he’s getting nerfed.
If the Developers don’t think reverting Mercy is a good idea, then they won’t do it.
Valkyrie can easily be tweaked to make it a fun ult.

It only works if you want nerfs. Mercy got nerfed after the crying and it took Bastion and Reaper like a year to get buffed.

Not a month. I remember the wave started in july. And no number were nerfed. He just can’t instantly dash whole distance with jump-punch (he still can if he charge it).
Because they never listen. They didn’t actually listened to any of the doomfist complaints and nerfed what THEY think is wrong. And you know what else they thing was wrong and required change? Mercy 1.0.
They won’t revert her FOR A REASON! And IMO she’s more fun than before, so “fun” is subjective. “Unrewarding” - well, if your position and timing are good - you turn 5v6 into 6v6. She rewards good beam management. Also choosing which beam is more important - especially in valkyrie mode.
I dunno, the devs’ attempt to tweak it hasn’t exactly worked out. I want mass rez back, not the do-it-all-for-you valk :S

I think ‘cry’ would fit perfectly here as well. 99% of the forums has been clogged up with Mercy threads, I wish there was some kind of sub-forum for her.

The massive spam, the fact that when you open the forum, you always see 5-6 new Mercy complaining threads ? The fact that every other threads generally end up being hijacked by mercy mains ?
I really wonder why it pisses people off
