[Derailed Thread]

Despite my best efforts. Many forumers have gone out their way to derail this thread. Thanks to those who showed some humanity

I think i might quit this whole forums crap

I 100% agree. I have an uncle who died of breast cancer. And yes, for anyone unaware, men can, albeit rarely, get breast cancer and die.

I had teachers and family friends who are survivors.

I would have donated regardless, but I donated just that little extra to get the skin, not just because I wanted it, but because I use it in memory of those that couldn’t make it, like my uncle.

We really don’t need to talk about it anymore

the chariwhat?

WAIT…

You mean to tell me that people who make “Bring Back Pink Mercy” threads… want the Pink Mercy skin? Wow OP, you’re truly one of the detectives of all time

Impossible. There’s always that one user with the S17 icon who took over these type of threads like a free real estate and frequently bumping it.

Ok, and? What’s wrong with just wanting the skin?

Neither did a massive majority of people who “donated” donate without needing the skin, actually if Overwatch just put “donate for nothing” the donations would have been lower by maybe a million times, quite literally.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, but I lost multiple family members through cancer and other diseases, I’m not disgusted by this. So what, if people want it for the skin? It’s not like they’re being cancer supporters by wanting the skin, JFC.

And who cares how Blizzard gets the money for the donations, and who cares if people entirely get it for the skin? Do you really think that BCRF worries too much about it, money for research is still money for research. It is not like they’re hiring Trevor Philips to do their dirty work, it’s just a infinitely reproducible digital item.

P.S. I donated without needing a gift before.

I have the skin and I honestly feel so weird about it.

It’s nice. I bought it because I was a Mercy main AND it was for a good cause. But it’s the perfect example of how OW2 has totally lost its soul.

All they want to be now is Fortnite in different branding. Money first, players second.

I’m sorry about your grandma, but if it came back money WOULD flow into breast cancer researchs coffers. I get its pretty scummy to want the skin only for bad reasons, but like Caesar told his aids who thought it strange to tax toilets. “Money does not stink”, aka, it does not matter where the money comes from or why, as long as it reaches those it needs to reach.

Its a skin and it had charity theres nothing wrong with people wanting it and your dead relatives arent gonna change my mind i want the skin and so do a lot of other people. The cosmetics are the only good thing is this stupid game anymore

You think Blizzard cares about charity? We’re talking about a company that allowed employees to steal breast milk and abuse female workers.

Oh look… you made ANOTHER pink mercy thread in response.

The irony.

I lost my mother to cancer and my father is fighting it right now.
Different people react in different ways to different things, its natural.

You dont get to moral highroad to others like youre the only one whose suffered. If people want to say they want this skin and it comes with the added benefit of cancer research funding, youre an idiot for decrying it. People are allowed to want something in return for helping a just cause.

If youre crying and throwing up because people want some pixels and a “dumb skin” Id say your priorities are in the wrong place, and that this skin should be the least of your worries. Stop moral high grounding people over something that at the end of the day HELPS YOUR CAUSE. Its weird.

This is sad on so many levels. Losing a grandparent is sad. Your reaction to others is sad. If this is actually making you throw up then you should probably seek therapy.

You can say the same thing about everyone who originally purchased the skin

Why? As long as the money goes to the charity it doesn’t matter whether people are genuine or not

Yet here you are bringing up this topic again

Maybe there’s some people like you at Blizz. Everytime I’ve seen anyone asked about the skin coming back they always say no. No plans on a return on anything, “event” or skin.
And I know they could make money from it.
But maybe there’s the people who have some traction with it and know better as well.
You don’t need that button in game to donate. You can do that last week and earlier.

You incorrectly assume people want to donate, they want the skin, thing is if you don’t give them the skin, they don’t donate. It may be faul or make someone sick, but at the end of the day returning the skin DOES give them money where they would otherwise not give it.

i do and i have, and the defenders of this “sequel” game calls everyone “entitled” when were complaining and pointing out how sh*t this game is.

these people complaining about pink mercy are by far the most entitled people in this game and on these forums

If they release the skin again. And the money goes to cancer. Who cares if people only care about the skin.

Neither do the people that got the skin in the first place, otherwise they would have just donated to the charity, instead of waiting for a skin event to happen.
