IVE WON 4v5’s …. It’s harder but possible

I won one once. They are definitely possible.
3v5s I do not think are possible. I’m mostly talking about 2v5 and 3v5, or against teams 4v5 that do not think they can win anymore so no longer really try. Usually what I see happen with 4v5s (at least in my rank) is that many people on our team give up or accept defeat. Someone will stay in spawn dancing and another will swap to a character they probably never play and just test them out a bit.

They want you to leave so the game ends so they can play another competitive match instead of dancing with you for 5 minutes.

Most likely this.

Games over, not worth diggin in for another 4.5 minutes because you want to be difficult.

After that 2 minute timer, its an L.

They play so hard because your stats affect your MMR. When they have a leaver or two, you’re doing less per 10 mins, so the MMR algorithm thinks you suck. Gotta keep those stats up!

Worst thing is when that one guy won’t leave and just sits in spawn. EVERYONE’s MMR suffers.

I get your point, but at least once my team lost a 5v4 match. We rolled them in the first round, then we made the terrible mistake of underestimating them when one of their team left. So, lesson learned: at least when teams are 5v4, I still play with all the possible effort. Not to mention that sometimes the leaver may return to the game, so even if it may seem unfair, you have to capitalize on the advantage of having one hero more than them.

I never do this, I got leavers too in my team and I feel their pain. I face them if they fight, but never disrespect them. It’s not their fault.

The only time where I actively stop fighting is when they are 3 or less. I try going near them, I say hello and if they are cool I don’t fire and just have fun together. If they try to hit me, I return fire though.

Why shouldn’t they? Why do you keep on trying 4v5 then, and then ask why other team is trying even more? Want it to be fair - stay in spawn fighting AFK timer.

If there’s a leaver, your mmr doesn’t change.

It’s understandable, if the deserter was bad and useless, even with him it was already 4vs5.
It’s even better without him since he was only feeding the opposing team.

This is mostly what I’m talking about. I know 4v5s are winnable and I get continuing to fight against a 4 player team, it’s when it’s below that and they continue to sweat super hard that I don’t really understand.

Solo ulting players on a 3 player team, tbagging them, dissing them in chat, playing like their life depends on the outcome of the match, doing everything possible to lock them in spawn, etc. That’s what gets me. I’ll try and be friendly until the timer counts down but they just blast over to me like a pack of starving dogs and reduce me to dust while I’m standing there dancing.

If you don’t want to bother reading everything in a topic, don’t click on it.

We cannot leave until our timer reaches 0 to allow us to leave with no penalty. In the meantime, we’re just dancing outside of spawn waiting for it to tick down but they just blast over and reduce us to atoms every time.

Can’t leave until the timer reaches zero. What’s being difficult about dancing outside of spawn away from the objective until then?

Y’all failed to read all of what I wrote, yet again. Crazy how this keeps happening.
This is like the 10th topic I’ve made now where I explain something in the topic desc and people come in getting angry at something because they did not read it all.

You were specifically complaining about instances where there is more than one leaver on your team. So of course it is assumed the timer has already ran out. Your other teammates cannot leave until 2 minutes after the first leaver or they would also get penalized. At any rate you just wait out the 2 minutes and leave its really not a big deal.

Lotta people leave before it reaches zero because the penalty apparently isn’t that harsh. Sometimes there are also duos.
