Because every hero has had a period after release to test them out for 2 weeks?
It’s a Beta. The MMR and stats won’t carry over to next season. Jeff has confirmed this. A GM can play at a Bronze level during the Beta but will still have GM MMR next season.

qp will just be 10 people dcing because they didnt get sigma and if you do get a game it will be 5dps and a noob sigma arcade mode trash fest.
or you can go play the same stale orisa hog meta on comp with less dps in your games.

I believe the purpose of the beta season is to adjust how matchmaking and SR work. Including Sigma would add a massive variable that could potentially make the entire season worthless, as nobody knows how to play with or against him yet.

It’s at least a stable legacy comp for which Blizzard already has plenty of existing data to compare to the beta season.
But I agree that bunker can’t handle Sigma’s balls. He’ll plow right through them.

i was watching a few dafran games and sigma wasnt in comp…cant imagine no one would pick the new character…im confused. so he was in comp?

That’s how it’s been done with every other hero release in the game’s history, genius. Do you complain every time a new hero is added to live comp without first being tested in a beta season?

I said nothing to suggest that there was a beta season for previous hero releases. I’m very obviously stating the opposite.
There were no beta seasons for previous heroes to be tested in. Thus, previous heroes were released to live comp. That makes Sigma’s release to live comp no different from previous hero releases.
Do you understand? It’s not complex. It’s extremely simple…
they added him to comp after a few games, so comp is basically 222qp at the moment.

Yeah, I heard and that’s pretty cool. I’m fine with it. I just didn’t understand why and how that one individual was somehow interpreting my posts to mean the polar opposite of what I was very clearly communicating.
Have you not read anything? They said weeks ago that this won’t be out till Sept.
