What if they were cheating for the first time ever and you looked at stats and saw below average?
If you think someone is cheating in a specific game, report them, you don’t need a profile to make a bad decision based on nothing.
No, go you build your own closed 6-members team and put yourself as the leader/coach/shot caller, then you can tell them what they should or should not play.
An option for privacy is important, even in gaming. In my opinion, implementation of the private profiles was one of the best changes Blizzard has done in the game. I’ve been playing since the open beta, played in every season, thousands of games and have no intention of quitting any time soon, but at this point, I feel that if Blizzard did do away with the private profiles, I would stop playing.
Why would you want PRIVATE profiles REMOVED?!
If you think smurffing is bad NOW. Immagine how much WORSE it will become!
Obligated? People that dont set their profiles on private have nothing ro hide. But the ones that defend private profiles & set them to that, pick characters they have no business using & never switch, or worse, queue for a role thet have no business playing, do.
People that mess about in Comp tryhard & Smurf plaguing QP, dont want to win. Thdy have no business playing that or Arcade, except Mystery Heroes(I’ll get back to that).
VS AI & Custom Games let people play whatever. No need to worry about metas. Especially in Custom Games, where you can set up goofy matches.
In Mystery Heroes, at least there a thrower cant cause a loss because the game decides which team wins. They can go shieldless Hog or Hammond all they want & not screw over their teammates.
So are why 3 modes, especially MH, constantly ignored by these people that dont intend to win matches?
Privacy in a team game? You shouldn’t be playing OW at all if you are so h***bent to hide who you’re really good with.
Definitely not. I’m glad it exsists.
I disagree with your opinion and the tone it is conveyed in.
Again, its a team game we’re talking about. Teammates have every right to know who you’re good with, since they’re stuck with you for the time being.
If you played OW as long as you claim, then you’d definitely have nothing to hide.
I don’t know why you’d need to.
It barely ever helps, and more often is just used to cause trouble when someone dares not play their main.
Acting like that isn’t the case is just going to be met with open your eyes you sped.
for me, over 800 hours on rein, and 250 and genji and another 500 on other DPS and 500 supporting. If I play DPS, and I have 800 hours on Rein, UNFORGIVABLE, BETTER RAGE IN MATCH CHAT ABOUT HAVING A TANK MAIN ON DPS REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IM PULLING MY WEIGHT, or fervently dragging their dead weight that they’ll later blame on me if I don’t get a 6k lmao.
Private profiles are good in my honest opinion, only because the community is too crap to make open profiles helpful more often than yall complainin like a bunchahoes about others gameplay while you basically throw the game by sitting in spawn and being mad about it. Those people can suck a fat one, yall are the reason normal players can’t have good tools, because you SUCK overwatch community. Remember that, we can’t have nice things because finding a human equivalent to a butthole is more common than finding a decent person.
I’d love open profiles for the record.
I just know the community can’t responsibly handle being able to look at other peoples history without losing your damn minds and throwing.
Such a bad take, holy moly
I think profiles in a pvp game is a bad take
They can’t, because Overwatch is full of snowflakes.
Wait what? Profiles are meant for PVP games. You don’t need to see other players profiles in PVE game for example.
Just because it’s done in other pvp games doesn’t mean I agree with it
You battle who you battle. I see no reason to have this information accessible during a match.
The only way private profiles can be deleted is if dva gets a buff
I do want it public, It just sucks cause then the enemy team gets an advantage and the only other choice (privating your profile) is a selfish because it puts your team at a disadvantage when they know less about you and can’t make recommendations.
There’s also the flipside which I already explained in a previous comment, but It’s just a terrible system that blizzard refuses to fix.
