I get the impression Blizzard is going to keep it limited. From what poll data I recall seeing it seems to hover around 5% of some populations that end up being non-heterosexual on large scales. In an Overwatch cast of like 60 characters that’s like 3 people total. Since we have Tracer and heavily implied S76 (not sure it was directly stated?) I had have to read the comic again.
In a way, I don’t expect anyone else other than like another character and probably someone new not that we know about. Overwatch is out to show a diversity of background, but its also seems to try to keep close to reality for most things. If anything, I’d probably expect an omnic as that’s not really been explored. I suppose in that way the current cast might be hinted at such as Orisa, Bastion, Zenyatta, or Echo.

It’s trash when companies gay-bait, but Blizzard didn’t do that (so hey, say what you want, they did that right). Because much like IRL, we found out about someone’s orientation and it was done in passing. Through conversations or simple normalcy between the characters.
Another thing is that sexuality is a spectrum and fluid. So the only thing we learned is that Tracer and Soldier are exclusively into their own gender. We didn’t learn about other characters… Because frankly, it would be gross and weird if every single character’s preferences were pointed out.
“This is Rein. He really digs muscle. Muscle ladies. Muscle gentlemen. Muscle Omnics. He digs it all. Yes. Even his own muscles. That’s why he’s not allowed to use the public facilities in OW anymore.”
“This is Moira. She is an asexual. Because it’d be totally weird to be sexually attracted to test subjects. And everyone/everything is a test subject in her world. Duh.”
“This is McCree. He’s a Western-sexual. Also has a thing for “Eastern” folk because a lot of Westerns use East-Meets-West as a trope. Yes. It’s somehow weirder than Rein’s thing.”

You messed up your claps there bud. What value does that add to the game? A game where you spawn in with randomized voice lines. A game where lore isn’t forefront of the game and where most of the players could honestly care less or know anything about? A game where you run around killing each other to appease some objective. Literally zero value to the game. It adds nothing to know who Reaper sleeps with or prefers. Zero value. So yes, YOU don’t need it.

Personally, I’d rather know the beliefs of each hero. Who’s into Creation? Who’s into Witchcraft? Who has The Green Man hanging on their wall at home? Who spends a little too much money on Psychics? Who’s waiting for the Mother Ship to take them Home? Who still thinks it’s a flat Earth in the 2070’s? Who’s convinced it’s all an elaborate simulation?
