I think many problems this game has would solve by themselves if everyone would 6 stack. Solo queue is the source of all evil. Its a dice roll which teammates you get which in turn makes it a dice roll if you get a good game or not.
Overwatch is a teamgame and in a competitive environment, you should approach it as one. I know this will upset some people because it less convenient, but its for the better in the long run.
Please elaborate on how everyone is expected to 6 stack, if that means the LFG system (a longer solo q imo with mixed bag results anyhow) or if people are supposed to make their own 6 stack at all times
Competitive becomes 6 stack only, which in turn will reduce queue times for 6 stacks automatically. You create a 6 stack either with friends or with LFG and then youre allowed to join comp.

Yes, 6 stacks only. No random teammates anymore. You know what youre up for before you join the game. Thats the point.
But if you join other 5 random persons it’s not just the same as solo queue? You’re still with randoms, 6 stack doesn’t guarantee you better communication, even if you require all of them to open mic they’ll never talk, just keep the mic open and say nothing, the usual.
With actual friends would be harder, having 5 other friends online at the same time as yours might be hard for some people.
You can kick people out of the team before you start to queue. If someone doesnt talk then he sets himself up to be kicked.

give me one reason why a competitive gamemode should mess up its matchmaking by mixing all sort of premade group sizes?
IMO make solo (max 2stack) and a Group (6Stack) queue with separate SR.

You still have to find enough people by yourself in your own SR (1000sr difference from the highest rank and lowest until you reach higher tiers where it becomes even less) and you still arent guaranteed anything except maybe you get a 2 2 2 set up
Solo qing is still much faster, and does a decent job at finding 11 other people in your rank, it just might put you with 3 dps mains, 3 healer mains, and no one that plays tank (which is why Im in favour of role q)

No. That won’t do anything. Randoms will queue together just to be able to play comp.
This game needs a pure solo q and a 6v6 only queues.

Yeah, but they can talk and set up their team before they queue, so they arent stuck with 4 dps players. Thats the point.

They “can” but they won’t. They will just join a queue that pleases their role.
And the team leader can kick them if they dont communicate, or he has like 4-5 dps on his team. Its an improvement any way you look at it.
If they decide to go into queue like that anyway, nobody can complain.
