Problem solved. No more ten minute queues. You can switch to a dps or off tank to counter a pesky doomfist or gengi in those bad support games we all get. So much winning. Overwatch being played as it was intended.
Those 5dps games you forum whiners cry about only happen 1 in 500 games or so, and usually its in a given loss scenario with your team on full tilt. 4dps CAN be viable in certain situations. 3dps is really strong a LOT of times. Goats is useful. Quit crying and adapt.
The only reason why 5 dps games don’t happen is because most of them will flex to supports and tanks. Unfortunately for support and tank mains, the lack of separate SRs, mean that they won’t be able to play dps at all and their skill with that role will dwindle while their skill with tank/support goes up. Basically, before Role Queue, I never could play dps at all, which is my second favorite role. The reason I love role queue is that I can enjoy all the roles even though they’re in pretty different ranks

liked. 222 is terrible. Blizzard gave in to the casual community. They failed to balance the game since brig so they just introduce 222 as a fix-it-all. Guess what. Player numbers have plummeted.

222 has made people lazy and uncreative. A fell-formed 141 is refreshing Overwatch. I’m getting a lot more default 222 in my OQ matches. More than ever, people cry when they don’t see their safety net. They’re more afraid now, like broken horses - forced into locked metas for the last year.
Usually, it’s the new accounts who can’t adapt, form real-time synergy, and play-off whatever heroes they’re dealt with. They expect to win through hero-select, complain about not having a shield or pocket. Instead of just getting good.

Why are ppl still complaining about role que when open que is a permanent comp mode next month?
I ask the more or less the same questions when people who like/prefer 222 for whatever reason post about how awful role-less queue is, how it is a “clown fiesta” and so forth

But to be honest I play role que if I want to play seriously.

have you played that mode - there is no meta, there is only pure chaos. noone is even trying really and much more leaver then in normal competitive mode… open role queue is a joke
By your logic, I should be throwing every match since my OQ SR is 500-800 SR higher than all 3 of my RQ SR.

Blizzard gave into the competitive community. Bringining open q back is catering to casuals. Go play your joke of open q comp and enjoy.
I don’t mind matches starting off as 2-2-2. It generally doesn’t stay like that though, which can change the tide of the match.
Not enough heals? Sacrifice a DPS or Tank to get that extra Brig or Moira in there. Reaper shredding the tanks? Go light on the tanks and beef up the flanking DPS line like Tracer or Sombra. The ability to swap roles and adapt to the match is what Overwatch has and will always be about. RQ is forever dead, long live OQ!
This was my favorite part about Overwatch when I started (shared account with my son, only had one computer), being able to swap is what made it fun.
