DELETE Mystery FFA vast majority of players hate it

Every month people who enjoy FFA either need to go back to other modes or are forced to play this garbage mode that’s a lottery about who gets the cheesiest most survivable hero.
I know there’s a small portion of the player base that likes mystery FFA and that’s fine, it can go take some other spot in the arcade, like weekly brawls, but let normal FFA stay as a permanent mode.
While we’re at it, either merge Chateau and petra only map weeks like you did with comp FFA, or get rid of them since those maps are pretty old by now so there’s no reason to play the same map over and over and over and just have all maps as the standard.

I know I make a post about it every month, and I’ll keep making them every month cause god damn do I hate mystery FFA, it’s the equivalent of you mainly playing quickplay except every 4th week it turns into mystery heroes (except mystery heroes is a way better mode than mystery FFA)

Oh my god, Are they still pulling that crap ?

I haven’t touched overwatch in nearly 2 months, and a large part of what made me quit was my annoyance at this practice.
Good to know Bliz are still continuing with bad ideas.

Yup, they’ve neglected the Arcade for so long. I’ve seen TONS of other threads and people complaining about forced mystery FFA so it’s really absurd nothing has happened yet

100% agree. I wanted to do this baset challenge with FFA because it’s just more reliable than a comp or qp game. But saw it was Mystery and I wanted to die. Took sooo long to get 9 wins out of qp matches.

I like both mystery but I agree it isnt worth removing normal FFA

Petra is pretty bad yeah, it’s so large that they had to adjust the inactivity system for it cause people were getting kicked while looking around the map for anyone to kill

Oh yeah, I love when they take away the only good practice mode in the game, in exchange for an rng mode that is entirely luck based.

I think they need some form of FFA that isn’t Mystery as a permanent mode. It’s a quick way to warm up, a quick way to earn arcade lootboxes, and it’s a fairly popular mode. Mystery FFA is just a nightmare though.

Unbalanced? You can pick whatever you like. What IS unbalanced is in Mystery FFA, when there are 3 Roadhogs, 2 Hanzos, 1 Mccree and 1 Tracer and you are Mercy.

While they’re at it, please stop with the chateau only and petra only crap as well please. Being stuck with one map for a whole week is no fun. At least make it petra + chateau only…

What’s worse is this week almost the entire arcade rotation is comprised of every Mystery Gamemode!

Mystery FFA this,
Mystery Heroes that,
Mystery Duel

TOO MUCH LUCK BASED MODES DURING AN EVENT WHERE PEOPLE ARE GRINDING BOXES!

With the exceptions being a mode that requires too much teamwork for the playerbase mindset of the Arcade mode and a Competitive Mode which is the exact opposite of why people go into the Arcade in the first place.

And i still prefere mystery ffa over normal one :smiley: Got all my lootboxes alredy in one day easy.

(and i got one guy to rage quit after sleeping him 4 times in the row, fun times)

Even when you join a custom FFA lobby, most hosts make ridiculous changes to some heroes while keeping others unchanged.

Same. It takes me 10x as long to get loot boxes every time Deathmatch is gone. When Deathmatch is there I get boxes pretty much after 9-13 games.

Part of the reason is that I have no desire to play any other arcade mode and the other part is that it is way to hard to win any other mode (depending on what’s there).

I tried playing FFA in custom games but there can be players way above your skill level there so it’s not as enjoyable and you also don’t get boxes.
