Deflect was over-nerfed

So he should have great defense for everyone around him, mobility, and no falloff on his damage?

Why do you think he needs falloff? If he had falloff itd hurt him pretty bad. Hitting his shurikens at long range is already pretty hard. So should mei have falloff too since she has so much defense utility and self sustain?

I wasn’t a fan of her icicle change lol.

As a Genji main myself, I will tell you that the current Deflect hitbox is fine.

The only current problem that it has is the visual response, sometimes projectiles that you did not deflect trigger the visual response of Genji moving his arm, causing false feedback and potential death of the Genji.

The only other problem is latency-based and will be fixed or improved upon Blizzard upgrading the servers for the game. [You pull deflect, it casts the sound and makes the animation, but objects such as Roadhog’s Hook or other projectiles still go through it, even sometimes forcing it on cooldown]

Deflect should be removed completely from genjis kit, he already has WAYY too much going for him and doesn’t need this broken abomination of an ability. People complain about defence matrix, but now imagine defence matrix where not only the damage get sucked up but also gets thrown right back at you.

Genji needs a defensive ability since without it his survivability would suffer greatly. He does not have a healing ability or the ability to gain shields like the other flankers, so he needs this defensive utility.

Defense Matrix is only complained about because it is available for 2 seconds every other 2 seconds, Genji’s Deflect is only available 2 seconds every 8 seconds.

In my opinion his defensive ability is already his insane mobility.

Genji does not need a buff of any type, he’s fine.

All other flankers have such mobility, but also require self heals or shield gaining.

Examples include:
Tracer’s Recall
Sombra’s ability to translocate on top of a health pack that she hacked
Doomfist’s passive “The Best Defense…”

His mobility is worse than Tracer in a fight, yet Tracer gets a self heal.

He doesn’t get a self heal or other forms of sustainability like the other flankers, so it’s only fair he gets a defensive utility in the form of Deflect.

Yes… Genji should have an invisible Reinhardt shield that reflects all incoming attacks.

Make all heroes Training Bot, solves all ya problems

Sub in a Training Bot when someone leaves a comp match imo

Reliable, consistent, friendly, the perfect team mate

Or something even better:

SaltLord54 has left the game

B.O.B. has joined the game

B.O.B. joined the voice channel

B.O.B.: ITS TIME TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS OBJECTIVE!

I still to this day get Deflect killed by weebs I wasn’t even aiming at…

Blame the idiot team-mate who shot into the Deflect while he was aiming at you :joy:

Seriously even my friends do it, which is why I sometimes lose Genji v Genji engagements.

I’m talking about my own projectiles…

What specific projectile?

If it’s a big one like Bastion’s Rocket, it’s not uncommon since the hitbox of the rocket is considerably bigger than it’s effects.

I feel like this is a hidden way of trying to get Blizzard to buff it enough so McCree can’t flashbang you anymore.

Thats exactly the point dude.
Im sorry that “not being overpowered anymore” feels “underwhelming” but its now working as intended.

Deflecting things from the back was not ok. Deflecting things shot 4mts away from you its not ok.

Deflects is ok now, it still doesnt have a “cue” so you can only stop shooting when you see it but due to lag/favor of the shooter most of the time its too late (widow shoots, projectiles already in the air etc)

I agree, no. Deflect is arguably the most powerful E in the game.
