This summer with perma passive invisible sombra was a serious disrespect that blizzard showed the community, the worst patch this game EVER had by FAR
I think an actual good patch would be to make reflect and absorb affect beams so genji is actually viable and can legitimately win without just not being incredibly hard countered
Genji as is is so awful because of beams, its just so disheartening to either win or lose 100% based on not being countered (by beams on each role)
Genji just needs armor substituting hp to have natural beam decreased effect. It is really that simple. 175hp+50 armor. I’ve seen incredible genji players just succumb to beam because what was a low energy zarya suddenly gets a +40 surge and he’s unable to get away in time due to no fault of his own.
Sure, let’s just forget that Sombra has had permanent invisibility since 2017 and that it wasn’t an issue for years. But hey, as long as we can blame Sombra for our own incompetence, right? Too bad I can’t do that in my job!
Genji is strong enough and even an exception in some patches. For instance, he wasn’t affected by the HP nerf for mobile heroes, even though he has more mobility than most others and even a skill to reset time spent in combat. Combine that with a repeatedly executable one-hit combo, and it’s clear that this is just complaining at a high level.
