Am I going crazy? I haven’t seen a single person wearing any old skin. The only skins I have seen so far are the default OW1 and OW2 skins and the new d.va skin.
Am I playing with bots? Is it a bug or something to do with the FTUE?
Speaking of skins, the OW1 skins are set to be the default option for new accounts instead of the OW2 skins.
There are a lot of new players/accounts with Overwatch becoming free. People want to try it
Bruh… The new default skins are amazing. I’m so mad they don’t have OWL skins for Sojourn, Kiriko, and JQ. And I can’t wait to see the recoloured new defaults next year.
But I get matched with a lot of old accounts that have the old level borders.
From what I hear a lot of OW1 players can’t access their cosmetics for some reason or another.
There’s a common bug of people losing their skins with merging? Potentially that, but I haven’t noticed too many default skins honestly, but that could be me not noticing lol
Every match I’ve been in were nothing but OW1 players, so…

In the hero gallery I noticed a good half of my hero’s have reverted back to there base skins, so it took a few minutes to equip those hero’s again with a decent skin. So it might be as simple that some people haven’t got around to equiping all there skins yet.

Matchmaker is messed up. It put me in newbie lobbies (as in dont know abilities, dont know what a turret is, dont know to touch objective), safe to say I had more elims than the entire lobby in some cases…

I’m using some new default OW2 skins simply because they look great.
Inb4 forums go nuts and be like omg…default skin! Must be a Smurf and why I lost the game!!
I’m in the camp of folks who like the new default skins, so I’ve been using them on several heroes. I’ve had so many of the other skins for so long that the new defaults are a fresh look.
Tbh agreed. Been using Mercy’s one since release… y’know when I was able to play.

I actually wonder if this is true? You can’t really just try out OverWatch very easily, you have to go to battlenet and set up all your account stuff first. Which has really made me wonder how many new players we are actually getting to drop in and try it out?
Oh, have they talked about OWL recolours for the new looks somewhere? I’ve been hoping to spend some tokens on OW2 Bap and Fox recolours so I’m interested.
There might be a protest too… Use the default, and refuse to use, or want to use, their new stuff. Just a thought really…
Personally, I have most of the Lucio skins, but I really like using the new OW2 skin more… seems more lively.
No but I’m hoping for next year with the new team/s. At least I assume they won’t continue their esports league using 6yo assets.
