Decade old game still having issues upon update releases

AAA company, unoptimized servers. Kicked, then penalized for being forced out of games. 10/10 company

Edit: Dungeon Stalkers is the most unoptimized Dark and Darker game i have ever played and upon its release, overcrowded server issues everywhere and they fixed it in 10 minutes LMAO(it’s dying now but upon release it was wild). You all had 8 years to perfect this issue, and still can’t fix it in a span of ~3 hours and we get penalized for it.

i swear i have never seen a game with so many and constant issues like overwatch 2, overwatch 1 was so smooth ,everything runned perfectly, in ow2 every season people cant enter to play when a season starts. maybe im wrong but i dont remember in ow1 they had to disable any character ever. new engine people, exclusive for the pve they cancelled

Dungeon stalkers…let me google that.

Wow, 5000 player count at it’s peak. Yeah, I’m not surprised their servers were fixed in 10 minutes, lol. The 5 people trying to log in probably logged off.

yeah it was small, hence why i said Blizz, a AAA company that has 100x the manpower pool can’t fix a server issue in a span of 1 hour with ~8 years to work on the game. Abysmal sarcasm attempt tho :+1:

edit: still in Queue limbo so make that 3 1/2

And compared it to a company that had 5000 people trying to login. I think you don’t understand how servers work.

And you are missing my point and directing your argument to a mediocre reference i pulled out of my a$$, so

They did not fix it yet? I thought it would be resolved by time I finished watching Shin Godzilla (not nearly as good as Minus Zero, by the way, but decently funny).

Your point is large game has server issues? I don’t think I’ve ever played a AAA title that hasn’t. Heck, even FFXIV still has server issues all the time (because they have a MASSIVE player base).

Probably could if the servers were theirs.

That is also assuming the issue is server related, and not just the game failing. At which point it is their issue, but, you can stress test a patch as much as you like. Still won’t stop it getting bugged when it goes live.

If you are still trying to play OW today. You have a problem.

Problem is, the current generation of players want everything perfect, right now. They have zero patience, and zero ability to see past their own noses.

Everything is the worst thing every because it somehow slightly impacted their day.

man wtf is wrong with you? making excuses for the incompetent developers who brake the game every new update? how many games have constant issues like ow2? how many games you see “x character was disabled due a bug” and takes days or weeks to be back? they are a billionare company backed up by the biggest company in the workd, the gun running is the minimum one expect from any game, yes, we want everything perfect

Would love to know where I am making excuses for them?

It isn’t good enough.

It also is something you should expect so some extent, and also as soon as you see it stop playing the game.

Games of similar scope… pretty much all of them.

Microsoft? they aren’t even in the top 10 biggest in the world. Think they are about 20th. (in terms of revenue, they are higher on profit… because they spend a lot less than others) Either way, having the money and people is great. But there is very little way to stress test on a global scale without going live with it.

every popular game to ever exist has server problems on big days. such as launch.

is our fault game runs like crap and they dont have ready the game for launch day?

like this, literally imposisble to enter the game every new update? completely removed characters like wrecking ball? like mei was for a shole season?

but you are not making excuses, they are not top 10, just top 20

And there is always a game breaking bug too

Where did I say that.

I clearly said that peoples reaction to it is wrong.

Yes, it isn’t good enough. But there isn’t any point getting worked up about it. It isn’t going to change. It is now on Blizz to sort it asap.

But, as I said, people now doing have patience. And if one thing doesn’t quite work as expected… WORST THING EVER. WORST COMPANY EVER. The melodramatic reaction to something a bit annoying isn’t needed.

Just stop playing till they pull their fingers out and sort it.

Ball won’t be gone for long. Looks like the bug is pretty basic.

No. I am correcting your obviously incorrect statement claiming they were the “biggest company in the world”. They aren’t even close on any metric. They aren’t even top 10 in US of A.

want to know what blizzard did to be considered that?

being disabled even one minute is long enough, this shouldnt happen if they actually do a good work updating the game, in ow1 this never happened

Didn’t you know? Software bugs just magically disappear once you’re worked on a codebase for 10 years.

Software engineers hate this one simple trick.

but they made a new engine that runs better than ow1 engine right? the new engine is only 3 years old, or was another lie?
