Rework mercy to make her more fun so I don’t get forced to play her under certain situations

Mercy’s movement is fun. Some games are just simply holding right click on the pocket, but some aren’t. It’s fun to switch between healing many people and evading those trying to attack you. Her healing feels better to use than any other hero.

You’re never forced to play anyone. It’s hard for me to respect anyone less than people who have so little creativity in game that they assume they have to be meta slaves.

Pharah is extremely common on EU ladder if you never play mercy you’re going to lose alot of games.
If you play mercy and you get in a game with yzsna its a free win, if you just never play mercy with pharah players ur just throwing fr.

And? I’d rather lose a few games and be lower SR and have fun, than play a hero I don’t like to win.

I have fun having the higher number, otherwise i’d play quickplay.
And im not meta slave I just have to pick mercy with pharah its like a must.
On tank I only will play doomfist ramattra.

Not to mention Pharah can and has been pocketed by Zen and Brig so much so at the end of OW1 that in Midseason Madness the casters were SHOCKED when PharahMercy was picked because Mercy can’t DO ANYTHING but pocket the Pharah.

Well you don’t have to utilise all that much doing random pointless movement might make it more fun but at the end of the day its pointless.
I can play in high rank by not doing it 90% of the time.

Zen I agree and I do play him with pharah but its in niche situations on certain maps with only pharah players who know how to play with a zen.

GA is easier now, but it’s so much more flexible, which I find a lot more fun. I think it’s better that the way you use movement is what is skillful whether than the movement itself being hard to do.

I mean you quite literally have to play mercy with a pharah in certain situations you can play zen but 90% of the time you need mercy.
Mercy gives pharah extra flexibility to take off angles behind the enemy team and stuff to create pincer,
If you play zen she can only play in your POV.

To each their own. I mainly hate the omnidirectional movement available at all times.
It could have been done in OW1 but it took a lot of practice and I’ve only seen like regular T500 Mercies do it.
To me OW2 mobility was just too much for too little. I get why it was done, I just find her now less fun.

genuinely pocketing only 1 dps will ruin the character for you. mercy’s whole shabang is her movement, your not having fun with mercy because your not using her mobility correctly nor often. mind you that does NOT mean superjump specifically, but GA as a whole.
using GA constantly while also keeping your team up and damage boosting your DPS while also being incredibly hard to hit is what makes mercy such a fun hero to play for us. sure, the recent GA nerfs have really felt awful and objectively feel like utter crap, so that is probably a reason why she feels so bland to you as her movement feels awful and not fun
even then i dont have fun playing her anymore because they straight up ruined the movement for her. by ruined i mean they ruined it by giving her built in SJ and omni directional movement as those 2 changes themselves would single handedly mean GA has to be nerfed.

She used to have some depth but now I feel she has 0 depth all her techs are extremly intuitive and easy.
It took me like 2 straight hours to learn superjump originally same with doomfist and his techs thats what gave them meaning and fun the depth but they just remove all mercy skill ceiling.
Shes probably easier than moira now removed all fun for me on that character.
Square or squire russian pharah otp and alabamastate never swap though.
never played with yznsa but I think he only swaps on certain maps to echo.

You could make sharp turns with ga in ow1?? I know you could backwards ga, but even high level Mercys struggled with that one.
