I see a lot of hatespeech toward LGBT stated by “supposedly” people that are LGBT, when a lot of the time it’s just people lying to try and make their words have more weight.
If you’re not lying, here’s the thing, just because you belong to a group doesn’t mean you speak well for it, or even that you speak for it. We live in a world where poor white people vote to have less support programs, and give money to rich people who tell them it will “trickle down” to them and they buy it and vote for these people. But this kind of thing isn’t new, not at all. Slaves for instance were caught by other black men that lived in Africa and sold. Belonging to a group doens’t mean you want what is good for it, because there’s always people either too dumb to realize what is good for them, or who are willing to throw their fellows under the bus for personal gain.
To top it off, it’s a logical fallacy called The identity fallacy so your entire point isn’t sound anyway.
Actually a majority of them are, as is self evident in the fact that people that belong to hate groups are against diversity, and you don’t have to belong to a hate group to be a bigot, and many bigots are against diversity.
Google for hate groups, you’ll find plenty. The fact that you are denying bigotry exists or even that you’re trying to downplay it shows that you just don’t understand, or don’t care to.
This is a non sequitur as well as blaming the victim (a type of scapegoating) both fallacies.
Biggots will never feel it’s organic. Saying it’s forced is a hollow argument. People’s sexuality is assumed unless they tell or cue otherwise it’s really that simple. It’s also a strawman because literally the only people saying gay should be the only theme of a character are people throwing up bad arguments to try and plant red herrings in the first place. The real issue has nothing to do with these arguments and they’re manufactured to make it seem ok to be against it. It’s dishonest to say you’re so concerned with quality and insulting, in a way, both to the OW devs who have given us high quality content so far, as well as to LGBT people to suggest that this would even happen. That you are against women being in Battlefield 5 should say enough about where you are on the spectrum of being honest about all this.

LGBT people are not a homogeneous group. Many lgbt vary widely in their belief systems. You don’t have “representatives” that speak for all of them. The OP has an equally valid opinion to anyone else here, lgbt or straight.

The problem here is that Tracer came after two decades of asking for serious representation for Blizzard. Places like WoW are filled with straight relationships and characters, and the only non-straight ones are used for jokes, and can be counted on a hand.
The people wanting more representation want it to be done well too, but we also want it to be done, period. Blizzard shouldn’t get a free pass to sit back and relax because of one character reveal after two decades. Insistence is important, and companies won’t reveal things like that unless they think it will benefit the playerbase.

No, im saying that people like you need to be lectured and advised against your actions, perhaps you need a class on tolerance. I dont believe in physical violence clearly, but perhaps round up people like that and teach them to be quiet about their intolerance…people are working hard every day to change minds and you are undoing all of that with your nonsense.

Incorrect. Your writing is contradictory if that is what were trying to state. You start out blasting the OP for having an opinion that you felt was not good for the LGBT community. You may trickle words saying that just because he is Bi doesn’t mean he speaks for the rest of you, but your tone and your criticism insinuates that LGBT is homogeneous, that he/she is anomalous to the rest of the ingroup. I think this was probably the best way realistically. She went home and kissed her girlfriend, like any other couple would.

You may say that, but it still doesn’t change that you made many contradictory statements.
They aren’t contradictory you simply misunderstand them in fact everything you’ve stated in reply so far has plainly stated that you don’t understand either my statements or my position at all.
Blizz is afraid of blatantly exclaiming Tracer’s sexuality due to the controversial nature of LGBTQ, as you can see from all the hateful backlash in this thread…it is very clear why.
And what if they won’t change their minds after your forced re-education?
I mean I get where you come from but forced re-education sounds pretty draconian. We’re only as good as how we treat others.
It would be good if there was more education in general on it though, even in schools.

Social exile seems fitting, considering throughout history worse things have happened to gays who accidentally let it slip that they were gay. The straight people even killed them. I think it seems fair that we educate people about lgbt acceptance

I am quite tolerant. But when tolerance ends, asking only remains. But when I ask, I get responses filled with hate and intolerance towards people who don’t think the same way.
Since you’ve also called people “transphobic” and other such words on the forums (Yes you did), you might need these tolerance classes yourself, as the threads you’ve put them in were quite civil.
This is the worst of the threads I’ve seen you in about this issue today. And the worst part is, the hate is coming from the side that’s pro-lgbt, including yourself.
Here’s the thing. I view people as a person. A person with their own thoughts and ideas. I could care less about what they are as long as they don’t do 2 things: Impact my rights as an American or impede on my beliefs.
What you see as nonsense I and many others see as the truth because it’s been that way for mellenia. You can pull up all these articles about how it’s been proven it’s existed for the longest time, but when it comes down to it, Trans has been taboo since forever. Being a cross dresser was “trans” before surgery became possible.
Theres a difference between respectful disagreeing (such as I’m trying to do) and attacking people for different opinions (like you and others on this thread seem to be doing). The worst part is, it’s like a mob. The comments opposing us players who are tired of these kinds of threads about LGBT are being attacked with words and some of them have even gone as far as reporting us, even when we’ve just shared an opinion. Then like-minded players like eachothers comments that attack people with different opinions. Then it turns into a “YEAH WHAT HE SAID” sort of discussion and it’s nothing worth discussing at that point. It just turns into a massive amount of people with what seems like a personal vendetta against other users with different opinions.
It’s a real problem as this happens IRL too.
So, once again, I urge you to rethink your actions. We’re just disagreeing here. Not destroying the Earth.
