Damage indicator

Dear Blizzard,

Can we have an option to disable the damage indicator of Ashe’s dynamite? It messes up my aim (I use a 2 size dot reticle).

Thank you.

I use a dot too. Doesn’t bother me.

I was just looking for a post pertaining to disabling it.

I too use a dot, size 2, and I find I’m consistently missing headshots after detonating the dynamite. The flashing star on the reticle feels like it screens a lot of my shots, crucial shots, and would feel much better if I could turn it off altogether. Or perhaps make the scope rim glow orange or something whenever the enemy is on fire.

The reticle is just a reference point. It’s not required for actual aiming. It looks like you might placing the dot on their head, then clicking, instead of just moving and clicking in one motion.

uh, what? you seriously mean to tell me to not use a reticle for The Viper, a weapon which requires pin point accuracy to land shots?

For a moment, I thought this was in reference to the terrible “you’ve taken damage” red thing that appears near the center of the screen.

It only shows the X axis and is totally outdated tech. I gotta know where in 3D space those shots came from.

I use a dot. Barely impacts me. git gud

I was actually looking for a video on how to properly arm aim, ty for this.

However, I don’t know if NOT using a reticle is the wisest choice, I mean… ADS with The Viper isn’t simply point n shoot like you would IRL by lining up the IS with your target… You would almost have to point at someones feet in order to land a headshot

The point is that you aim with instinct since the hitscan shot will always be in the same place on the center of your screen. Trusting your muscle memory and practice is faster and better then trying to put the dot on their head before shooting.

The reticle is nice to have, but not required.
