Damage focused stealth hero concept

Imagine Sombra had an edgy, full damage focused cousin, with some light stealth mechanics thrown in.

Nero - New Damage hero

Passive: Shadow Stalker

While in dark or shaded areas, Nero gains a bonus to his movement speed, even moreso of in close proximity to an enemy

  • Movement speed: +10% (+5% if within 10m of an enemy)

Weapon: Bow Gun

Nero weilds fast firing wrist bow, able to shoot bolts at long distances for considerable damage. By pressing his secondary fire, Nero can swap his current ammunition from a standard bolt to a knock out bolt, briefly rendering his target unconscious. This has a cooldown.

Ability 1: Dark Grasp

Nero throws his left arm forward, reaching out with a shadowy extension of his arm, which he can use to propel himself in the direction of his choosing. Dark Grasp can be used on walls, ceilings and floors; if used on a legde, the targeter will change to show if Nero close enough to climb onto the ledge.

Nero can also use Dark Grasp on an enemy, clawing at them with great force, dealing damage and silencing them. If Nero launches this attack from behind an enemy, the damage is increased.

The cooldown for Dark Grasp is slightly longer if used for damage than for movement.

Ability 2: Shadow Barrier

Nero briefly clocks himself in shadow, nullifying the next instance of damage and becoming immune to all status effects and CC, returning any damage dealt back to his attacker for 50% of the damage blocked.

  • Duration: 0.75 seconds
  • Cooldown: 18 seconds

Ultimate: Shadow Walk

Nero convulges into a shadowy mass, stalking along the battlefield, gaining the bonuses of his passive for the duration. During this time, Nero gains a small reduction to incoming damage. In this state, Nero’s primary fire is replaced by a vicious melee attack, dealing massive damage to a single target. If they survive the attack, Nero returns to his normal form, briefly retaining the bonuses of Shadow Walk. If the enemy is eliminated by the attack, Nero can attack again. Shadow Walk only lasts for a short time.

This effect refreshes with each elimination.
