I mean they’re not wrong lol. Queuing on your own or in a pair shouldn’t be what is making or breaking your matches, and if it is, then it’s probably not a problem with the groups
We pretty much have it now, the fact that wide groups are not in the solo games is a lot better than it was before.
Two/three/four stacks are not as big of an issue in this game as they were in OW1 it seems, especially now that they’re limited to “narrow” grouping only.

Are wide group queue times still scuffed? I’ve not had time to play for a few weeks.
I think so, haven’t tried it myself since it first came out and couldn’t find a game

I’d be curious too, but judging from the posts on here that still mention long queue times for wide groups I’d be quite surprised if it’s no longer an issue
At one point they said it was a bug that they’re looking into but since then they’ve been radio silent so IDK what is going on with it
as a result my general advice is for players to just give up on trying to queue with a wide group until they can sort it out.
I’d imagine a bug that requires a much larger patch to fix… A new season patch perhaps.

There is no bug with the wide groups matchmaking, there is just not enough people matching the group to be able to create a match in a short time span…
This is nowhere near a real solo queue. I still get matched with stacks most of my games. Let’s not even talk about the week-ends where like 90% of my games we are barely 2 solos when I’m not the only one.
I’ll repeat what I’ve been saying endlessly, I couldn’t care less about my rank, stacks are not the reason why I’m in the rank I am but they introduce such a skill disparity most of the times that the games are just unenjoyable.
I’m looking to play fair matches but there is no mode currently that provides that to solo queuers.
Don’t even bother mentioning the failed wide/narrow group restrictions that just encourages stacks to make new accounts to play together.
You’ll have stacks on your team too then. So no issues.
My point exactly, there is stacks in my team… which is the actual issue…
- They often get toxic when they start losing, and blames the solo queuer instead of their own friends.
- They more often than not have a high skill disparity
- They often completely ignore the solo queuer.
And the list goes on and on…
I mean you are a ball main, you do your own thing with barely caring for your team which can’t be a thing with the vast majority of the roster…

That’s just OW players in general. Not related to stacks. You’re doing similar here, blaming them for poor match experience.
They won’t, as that’ll be a wide group. If you’re solo you will not get wide groups.
Again, just an ow player thing. Most players just aren’t interested in what others are doing or saying. They play in their own bubble. That’s why games often snowball… Then people cry about the match maker, when it just isn’t the issue.

Move on everything is perfectly fine with every aspects of this game, I guess I must be weird for playing less and less and soft quitting this game for this exact reason.
We’re not arguing. We are discussing 2 different opinions on a subject.
My “reputation” is because people get emotional and for personal feelings about someone they don’t know on the internet. That’s their issue not mine.
Not entirely sure where I said anything was fine though. I literally agreed that the issues you had with players were issues, just that it isn’t a stacks thing
you can 5 stack and it won’t be a wide match. Just played in a 5 stack the other day and the enemy team had solos. You just have to be the same rank. But you can’t compare it. A 5 stack, even on the same rank, will always have an advantage over a team of solos.
If that was true, 5 stacks at the same rank would have a higher win rate. Which they’ve said in interviews isn’t the case.
I played like 5 games with them, and won 4 in a row. That never happened to me as a solo player this season. I don’t care what they say anymore. They lied to us too many times. What I care is what I experience in games.
Let’s just not pretend that if we don’t have a solo queue it’s because it’s not needed.
We all know that it’s because they are afraid of groups queue times if the vast majority of solos choose to opt for the solo queue.
I know for a fact I would opt-in for the solo queue, and if it’s not even being tested, at some point I’ll get bored and just stop playing. I’m pretty sure I’m far from being the only one.
