I don’t know why challenges refresh randomly throughout each day. It’s very inconsiderate to those who can only play at certain times of the day. There is some consistency for 11am PST but, like today, they don’t refresh til 3pm? I mean… why? I’ve seen it not refresh til 5pm some days. There’s no rhyme or reason and when I log on and see they haven’t refreshed in the past 24 hours it makes me just not want to play. (cause my eventual no hope losing streak, and realizing I’m gaining nothing but frustration, makes the game unplayable some days. It’s nice to earn something those days.)

they refresh 20 hours~ after you logged in the the first time previously
so lets say you get on at noon on friday they’ll be up any time after 8am. but if you log in at 7pm on saturday then they’ll be ready at 3pm on sunday
it allows you to “catch up” and reset the timer without needing to skip a day.

It has it’s pros and cons. My suggestion is to log in and log off and continue with your day. I do this with remote desktop honestly, or you can install Overwatch on your Steam Deck if you have one just to log in and out right away.
Is that true? I’ve been playing nearly every day since launch and that seems incredibly inaccurate. And if it is true, it’s still not consistent. Does the Store do that as well? Cause the store refresh is very inconsistent as well.

So, when I log in every day around 11am and still have to wait for a refresh… then wtf is going on?
Hard to say without knowing your exact schedule, but perhaps youre not logging in at consistent times? Like perhaps one day you dont log in at the normal 11AM time and instead log in at 4PM (even if you dont actually play a match - just log in, log out). Then the next day itll reset at noon.
It’s not inconsistent once you understand the reset mechanics.
Log in → 20 hr timer starts
If the timer expires while you are not logged in, it is in “limbo.” No new timer will start until you log in. The timer is “inconsistent” because your log-in is inconsistent (you don’t log in every 20 hours).
The store refreshes on a different timer.

I get off work at 11am and play when I get home. I never play at night. I dunno, seems like a dumb broken system, like much of Overwatch. I would much prefer a straightforward daily reset.

the weekly store seems to reset at a set time, im not sure about the “just for you page”
but yes, ive tested this personally. if you log in at noon on monday and check the time left on dailies it’ll say “19hour left” which i assume means its just 19 hours and 59 minutes 59 seconds, aka 20 hours.
then you get on the next day at 10 and it’ll say 19 hours left again.
in most games the reset either happens at the same time every day or it triggers 24 hours after you logged in. in overwatch 2 the daily challenge reset is 20 hours after you logged in
every single time ive tested this, weather it later or earlier it has always said 19hours left on my first log in.

just reset at 4:00 am was so difficult eh?
This is helpful and I get it. But it is dumb why not just reset the timer just like most other games. When your time zone hits midnight. Not really a hard request as most of thess players are kids. This seems like an easy fix and should have been that way to start. Also what a pile you buy a game and to earn battle pass XP you have to login at dumb time every day to earn that XP.
I’m with you on this it’s dumb should be a daily reset at the same time everyday. What’s so hard with having it set like that what tormented soul made the daily reset the way it is?!?!
