This is the best advice about mouse sensitivity one can get. Do some research on the benefits of fast vs slow sensitivity and work out what’s best for you, not Dafran.
Also, having your mouse set to 400 dpi is a major pain in the assets if you use your computer for anything else other than playing FPS games, especially if you’re not the only one who uses it.
First, a set dpi and sensitivity combo isn’t always going to look and feel the same across different systems. The big factors for this are resolution and framerate, but system delay can also be notable.
Second, each person handles sensitivity settings differently. But this was already pointed out multiple times.
I’d go with the the 8.5 you read with your own eyes instead of listening to hearsay if you’re looking for a starting point for your own sens.
When it comes to sens it all depends on one thing: DESK SIZE. No point going with a low sens if you have a mousepad the size of a postage stamp.
Also, if you’re thinking of copying anyones sens (streamer or not), I’d ask you to think twice about it. Because forcing yourself to play at someone elses sens will not automatically make you a great gamer.
You’re not just working with different PC hardware, you’re literally two different people with different brains and muscle memory.
Start with your current sens and adjust it until you can pick a point on a wall/bot and move around without the cursor leaving the target. It should feel smooth and very controlled. At no point should you feel like you’re ‘fighting’ your mouse to aim. If it feels like that then something needs changing.
That has nothing to do with his sensitivity, it just shows he’s a low quality individual. He has been a GM masters player for 30 seasons which is why they’re asking because he is a good player. He’s just a bad person
I usually follow Kenzo’s settings on an 18"x16" mouse pad, which is 3200epi/cpi, or 3.2 sensitivity at 1000dpi. 800dpi x 4.0 sens is similar, but the higher you set the mouse hardware DPI, the smaller the mouse hardware latency, but we’re talking about 1000th’s of a millisecond improvement.
These people are all wrong. You should use Dafran’s sensitivity. It is definitely part of the reason why he is an aim God. Obviously. I am not even sure why this needs to be said. He would not aim as well as he did with a different sensitivity. This is just common sense. All of these “be your own person” types are just trying to keep the secret from you because they fear more baby Dafran dominating their lobbies.
