Please nerf the range on her defense matrix. She shouldnt be able to eat ults so far away!!!
She already does a ton of damage. This would be helpful in playing around her! I think it should be nerfed to 2/3 or 5/8 of what it is now!
but defense matrix is only 2 seconds now… and it its tiny in comparison to rein, orisa, or even winston’s bubble.
D.Va can defense matrix on top of buildings and halfway across lunar colony second poibt to tge center from the edges. The range is a bit op especially when it takes miliseconds to flash an area and eat an ult.

I have seen it in quickplay D.Va can defense matrix from a pretty good range. (Building was on 2nd point of hollywood aiming down to block incoming fire on her supports.
it is seriously not that big, just go in game and test it yourself with a friend matrix range is not that long, its more or less about one d.va’s length maybe a bit less.

It is double the length of the Car in Hollywood.
Hogs hook is actually 20m.
That probably explains why I keep misjudging the distance
Lol… Yea I think it needs to be toned down a little. Especially since its annoying when tanks are stacking in some comps and you cant even through an ult to stop them!

But to compensate, make her DM wider.

Yea, I sometimes get hooked when I totally thought I was outside of its range. 20m really isn’t THAT long but it sure can feel like it.

Defence Matrix is part of the problem, and to be honest, a pretty minimal one (due to how it allows her to be in her supposed role of TANK). However, you did say what I think her problem is: “She already does a ton of damage”. This, combined with her pretty good tanking ability and high mobility, makes her a bit much of an all-rounder who is good at most tasks. The focus should be on making her less of an all-rounder by adjusting her abilities to refocus her kit (along with adjusting some of her stats/abilities outside of this; she has one of the highest total healths in the game, and could probably have that toned down along with some additional capabilities in her pilot form to compensate; hopefully all these changes would work together well).
I’d rather they remove the ability to use rockets while DM is up, or increase Self Destruct’s ult charge. Damaging while DM is up is too safe and with the missiles she gets free mechs too often making her tankier than she should be. I think her DM size is fine considering it lasts 2 seconds and takes 8 to recharge.
My problem with it is that it eats ults from such a long range… I like her damage but that range makes countering her with ultimates very difficult with instant reflexes and most map environments (objective wise) are small makes eating ultimates in a click of a button very common.
honestly i think it has come to the point where everyone wants every hero nerfed to the ground…
The only issue I have with Defense Matrix is when she’s facing sideways and using it, and it still eats my ult. Because I can’t see the lines half the time.
But I’m also slightly colorblind and it’s probably my own fault, and why I no longer play heroes who can have their ultimates eaten.
