So it’s that easy?

I’m surprised the OWL players and coaches who are most likely all being paid 6 digit salaries to learn and get good at the game haven’t worked this out yet and that’s why she has a usage rate of 90%+ in the matches.

If only they had a strategical genius like you to teach them how to play the game!

Or shes just a good Generalist tank? only 8% higher pick rate then zen. So maybe more tanks and buffing her counters a bit more would be a great choice. Also Yes Killing D.va is that easy … and then she gets staggered for 15 seconds

No off-tank should be so good to the point where they’re seen in almost every game, no matter what main tank is ran.

Maybe people just like to spam her voice lines and it doesn’t necessarily have to deal with how good she is?

I only play D.Va for her ultimate when I want to deny the enemy team a Play of the Game. :woman_shrugging:

i’m sure pro offtanks are overwhelmingly running d.va in every comp because of the voice lines. not because of how instrumental she is to dive and how much more flexible she is than the other off tanks. gotta be dem voice lines man

(is only gaem is the best voice line in the game anyway and you can fight me on that one)

Ah that must be it! All those professional players are only playing D.Va to spam her voicelines! Why else would they ever pick a character like D.Va that you can just ‘focus as a team’.

Coming up with a strategy to counter D.Va that even people being paid 6 digits to play the game couldn’t work out? :white_check_mark:

To be fair, these are the same Pros who spent S3 picking Roadhog the barely mobile 1v1 fatass who can’t tank and/or Rein the mobile wall who tanks but not much else more often than they picked :fireworks::sparkler: S3 D.VA THE HYPERMOBILE 1v6 EVERY GAME DEATH MACHINE WHO CAN ALSO TANK :sparkler::fireworks:

didn’t d.va have like a 90% pick rate before they nerfed her in season 3

and then she maintained a high pickrate after her nerfs that the forums were absolutely sure were going to kill her (26 megathreads can’t be wrong!!!)

i’m really not sure what season 3 has anything to do with the current state of the game other than to deflect since the game is way different now…

almost all the dva mains were complaining that she would be trash tier after her most recent rework too. they wanted more buffs/reduced critbox/etc. its absurd.

Mercy gets a nerf? “SHE’S UNPLAYABLE”

Despite neither are unplayable.

I love how the Mercy hivemind shifted sides at the end and ended up with a 0% accuracy in their predictions too.

Actually a quick look at the Overbuff meta report just before her big nerf places her at a “mere” 79%. :fireworks::sparkler: S3 D.VA THE HYPERMOBILE 1v6 EVERY GAME DEATH MACHINE WHO CAN ALSO TANK :sparkler::fireworks: was a full tier below Rein’s 91%

-You know, after that inconvenient little month-long (almost multiple month) period where her pickrates dropped to about a 5th of what they were before until they massively buffed her DM.

The one that basically proved the D.Va mains absolutely right and that the subtext of every one of these “Remember how that ended?” posts to apparently be “Because I don’t! Who wants to remember things more than a week ago?”

you still haven’t explained why you’re deflecting from d.va’s current pickrates with near year-old statistics by the way

d.va’s DM buff only helped her against a small subset of heroes (zarya/roadhog/mei), none of which are in meta right now. she’d still have the same pickrate without it. it’s more likely that the mass hysteria was wrong and people learned how to actually play d.va in ways that extended just beyond facetanking

not to mention it happened again when she got her missiles… i don’t think there’s any amount of spinning you can do to take away from the fact that d.va mains on here have a pretty bad track record on meta predictions and understanding balance
