Name: D.mon (Yuna Lee)

Lore: Yuna is Hanas best friend and has been since they were little. When Yuna was young a rouge omnic killed both of her parents and was adopted by Hanas family. They always went everywhere together, the same schools, the same temple, everywhere. When they graduated highschool at the age of 19, she was one of the most popular Esport player second only to Hana, though Yuna loves to point out that her stream has more viewers then Hana (like 5 more). She joined the same Esport team as Hana at age 15 and chose a similar name to reflect this. Her meka was designed to work with d.vas and compliment each other. Much like a support to d.vas ADC. Yuna has also become Hanas acting agent and helps Hana get parts in movies like “The Hero of My Storm”. Yuna is also left handed. Yuna believes that the Giwshin omnics need to be destroyed at the source and is upset with the Korean government for not allowing the Meka team to go the omnium in the East China Sea, where all the gwishin omnics are being produced. Yuna has been seen, by Hana, going out late in sketchy neighborhoods, and meeting with a cloaked figure that seems to disappear into darkness. Is Yuna a double agent? Could she be working with talon?

Health:

  • 400 hp, 200 armour (600 total)
  • TTK at 80 dps approx. 10 seconds

Primary: Rocket Launcher

  • Fires rockets from the left hand of her mech
  • Damage: 80
  • Splash damage min: 40
  • Splash radius: 2 m
  • Fire rate: 1 rocket every 0.8 seconds (96 dps)
  • Rocket speed: 28.5 m/s (pharah barrage rocket speed)
  • Range: 14 m before rocket explodes (2 tracer blinks)
  • Infinite ammo

Secondary: Defence shield

  • Using the shield projector in her mekas right arm creates a shield that block damage
  • Uses resource meter
  • Duration: up to 10 seconds when fully charged
  • Shield is green
  • About 2/3 rein shield
  • No cooldown
  • 20 seconds to recharge fully
  • Rocket launcher can still be used while shield is active
  • Cannot block earthshatter or “eat” grav
  • Doesn’t “eat” objects, it blocks all damage while the resource is depleteing

Ability 1: jump/dash

  • Using the powerful rockets on the back of the meka, she can either jump vertically, or dash horizontally.
  • Vertical height: 15 m
  • Horizontal distance: 15 m
  • Duration: 3 seconds
  • Damage of vertical jump landing: 25 in 2 m radius
  • Damage of horizontal dash: 15
  • Horizontal knock back: 5 m
  • Horizontal dash can be cancelled early
  • Cooldown: 10 seconds

Ability 2: sticky rocket

  • D.mon launches a single rocket from her back into the air and lands doing damage and rooting everyone in a radius.
  • Damage: 30
  • Root: 3 seconds
  • Radius 5 m (half of old lucio aura)
  • Cooldown: 13 seconds (cooldown starts as soon as rocket leaves D.mons back)

Ultimate: encircling wall

  • D.mon slams down and creates a curved wall with high health and knocks up all enemies caught in the area between D.mon and the wall
  • Wall health: 4500
  • Knockup duration: 1.2 seconds
  • Wall width: a little over 2x mei wall
  • Wall height: 2.5 times mei wall height
  • Wall duration: 12 seconds
  • Wall location is placeable (like mei wall)
  • Max range: 20 m
  • Min range: 7 m
  • Can be used defensively or offensively

Designers Notes:

  • D.mon doesn’t become “baby d.mon” like D.va when her Meka is destroyed
  • This concept was designed to compliment d.vas play style with the sitcky rocket allowing for easy dives and the Encircling Wall to combo with Self Destruct.
  • Given the moniker D.mon, I figured I would hint that she might be working with talon, possibly leaking details of how the Mekas are made in exchange for talon to attack the East China Sea Omnium.
  • I chose to kill off Yunas parents to give her that strong resentment for the Korean Government not allowing Meka to attack the Omnium to get rid of the Source of these omnics.

D.Mon is very protective of her friends and Teammates in MEKA. This goes against her character…

And! The Omnic is the Gwishin! It’s not an Omnium. I believe it’s the same Omnic D.Va is fighting in the We Are Overwatch trailer, but don’t take that as Fact. XP

The Giwshin are the name of the omnics that attack south korea. the omnics that attack south korea come from the East China Sea Omnium. just to clarify.

She is still protective of her fellow Meka teammates. but is upset that the government isnt allowing the Meka team to attack the source of the Gwishin omnics. thats why she is looking for outside help.

She see what the Gwishin do to a city and how many innocent people are being killed because of it. she has the personality of a very protective person, almost like a mother bear. (funny, michele chu said that if d.mon had a mascot he could see it being a bear.) She will do anything to protect the people that she cares about, by any means possible.

I think her last name is lee not park.

I really like the back story going on :slight_smile: it would be a stretch for talon. I think there is a good chance casino might be connected but it’s still possible. Talon does need a tank :slightly_smiling_face:

I would either give her more armor or a bigger health pool because of her size and she doesn’t have a huge shield. It’s a fair bit smaller.

They could always work something in. Maybe turn that part of her into a weakness of why she did join? It’s still pretty flexible for whatever they could decide to do :slight_smile:

i appreciate the feedback.

as for the shield, all that is said on the wiki for D.mon is that there is a Green Shield projector from her right hand. it doesnt give a size of the shield. I wnated her to be an Anchor tank of sorts, so i gave her a larger shield, but not too big as to replace rein.

For the jump, i chose to give verticallity and a dash so that she can also be a pseudo dive tank that compliments D.va

The sticky i wanted, again to make it an easy dive target, and an alternative to pure shield break with and orisa/rein bunker comp (pirate ship included)

i was humming and hawwing with the health, i couldnt make her more then 600 total because thats the highest in the game (rein, d.va, hog) and i remember far too well the days of 400 armour d.va and the 30 second ttk. maybe i could add 50 more armour, with 50 less health, or maybe throw some shields in the health pool. idk.

MAybe

  • 150 hp, 300 armour, 150 shields?
  • ttk at 80 dps approx. 11.25 seconds

The main Gwishin is actually noted to be basically an Omnium.
It can create its own Omnics & I’m sure it’s actually been addressed by Chu.

trash, if this hero actually ever happens first thing i am doing is getting a buddy and intentionally de-meching and dps with babies dva/dmon

Probably not, they’re about as clear on the story as a block of wood. This week it could be an Omnic making other, smaller Omnic, next week it could be an Omnium, the week after that it may be some guy named Bob who’s a talon operator in an underwater garage putting together robots

Basically it is yeah, as far as I’m aware anyway. There is a giant “kaiju” Gwishin, the main body, which can produce other smaller Gwishin. I’m sure Chu has said somewhere about it actually being an Omnium :smiley:

That’s what I thought too. But I’m struggling to find where he said it but I know he did. That would be such a cool thing to fight if you could get inside it and stuff :slightly_smiling_face:
