When I try to set the custom render scale, instead of going from 50%-200%, it only goes from 50%-67%. imgur.com/UKUrtFH
If you have DLSS 3.5 or FSR 2.2 enabled, it will force your maximum renderscale to be set at 67%. Enabling FSR 1.0 or picking default (native resolution) will allow you to set your renderscale to 100% (or higher).
you have AMD fsr enabled then, its in video settings, it maxes out at 67% then scales it back up (it’s actually worth keeping on if ur pc is mediocre, decent fps boost for a tiny hit to graphics quality)
I have a pretty good pc setup so lowering fps isn’t much of a problem, so would using FSR 1.0 with 100% render scale look better than 2.2?
Sorry but I forgot that FSR 1.0 doesn’t actually work at 100% renderscale or above. It only works below 100% and I’m not sure why this is exactly. You can try it out though by using 99% renderscale, FSR 1.0 makes the image look sharper and it does look quite good.
Personally for me FSR 2.2 causes a lot of artifacting for some reason so I’m not sure how it compares with FSR 1.0. I prefer to use DLSS 3.5 because it completely removes all jagged edges at 1440p and it also boosts my frame rate by about 80 - 100fps. It does a way better job than the SMAA anti-aliasing method in this game.
Gotcha, thanks for the info!
