I’m unable to see other people’s custom game names it just says “[owners name]’s game” and im also unable to rename my own custom games. I’m on ps4 btw. It happened with the overwatch Workshop update.
Welcome to the club! This issue prevails since the Anniversary Update and no one of Blizzard feels responsible so far. 
there have been already several Post in the forum! So far no news on the topic!

It’s really annoying too cause nobody will join custom games that aren’t named and I also have no idea what custom games are when I’m joining them so I can’t play all the cool workshop games

I get the issue! You cannot open up a group and you don’t really want to join a group randomly because you don’t even know what type of player they are exactly searching for - especially on EU servers, when you cannot see the name of a group you don’t know what language they are even talking!
BUT I have a bit of good news - I had yesterday a longer chat with someone from blizzard customer support. For the issue there has been an internal report filed to the developers of the game directly, so they are definitely aware of it. But it’s unclear when they will do something about it.

I contacted blizzard and they said that I was banned for naming custom games. Which doesn’t make sense because the only custom game names I made was a “Widow 1 Shot 1 Kill” which I’m not sure deserves a ban, and if it does, why is blizzard allow to use the word as an option in workshop and we aren’t?

Yea I’m still having problems with this and it’s very annoying. I play custom games a lot and now that the workshop feature is out there even more fun. But it’s September and sadly I still can’t see any information about any custom game I’m trying to join.
I’m also a PS4 user with this issue. My brother can see the names but I can’t…
This is honestly stupid and supposedly Blizard isn’t paying attention to this issue, but that is just what I’ve read.
