i won’t make a workshop version of this because it’s too complicated but these are just my changes as of rn to target some heroes that are really strong or problematic
Balance Wise
Damage
Tracer
- Pulse Pistols
- Fall-Off reduced from 12-20 to 10-20
- Pulse Bomb
- Ultimate cost increased by 8% (1260 to 1360.8)
Explanation: Tracer has dominated this game for far too long and is still very very powerful in the right hands, so reducing her fall off range should make her have a more secure High Risk High Reward situation. Pulse Bomb is a good ultimate and it can basically kill a quarter in a half of the roster if used right, so without touching its damage directly i’m increasing its ultimate cost because she charges it too fast.
Hanzo
- Storm Bow
- Damage reduced from 125 to 120 (maximum headshot damage reduced from 250 to 240)
- Projectile Speed increased from 110 to 125
- Storm Arrows
- Arrow Quantity reduced from 5 to 4 (maximum body shot damage reduced from 350 to 280)
Explanation: Hanzo has really high tank busting power, so reducing its quantity should reduce his overall tank busting power but to compensate for a higher projectile speed so his arrows hit more often. His damage from his primary is very annoying for a lot of heroes mainly because of lucky shots, so reducing his damage should be alright for him since he wouldn’t be able to instantly kill 250 hp heroes.
Cassidy
- General
- Health reduced from 225 to 200
- Body Hitbox reduced by 10%
- Critical Hitbox reduced by 3%
Explanation: Cassidy’s health has shown to cause way too many breakpoints, so reducing it down should weaken those breakpoints. In favor, his hit box as a whole matches a 250 health hero, though he’d be too strong if that happened. so reducing his hit box because of its abnormal size would be a good compensation for the loss of 25 extra health.
Support
Baptiste
- Immortality Field
- Maximum health threshold reduced from 10% to 1%
- Amplification Matrix
- Width reduced to 7.5 meters down from 9
- Biotic Launcher (Primary Fire)
- Recovery time increased from 0.38 seconds to 0.42 seconds
Explanation: Baptiste does way too many things, his Immortality Field is his main problem but with its maximum health threshold being reduced to 1% of a hero’s max health, it should be less powerful in situations because his healing would allow him to cover his teams health up with still blocking enemy ultimates. His Amplification Matrix is too wide allowing basically his whole team to deal 2x more damage and for his supports to heal 2x more which is really powerful in a lot of situations so reducing it to inbetween should be okay, but i’m still iffy about it. Baptiste’s damage is way too high, so increasing his recovery time without touching his damage should still be okay but making him not too powerful.
Brigitte
- Inspire
- Range reduced from 20 meters to 15
- Repair Packs
- Range reduced from 30 meters to 25
- Healing per second reduced from 55 to 50
- Barrier Shield
- Reduced deployment time to match Reinhardt’s
- Health increased from 250 to 300
- Increased hit box size to match the shields respectful width
- Lowered Barrier Shield’s length a little bit to better protect Brigitte’s feet
- Shield Bash
- Now blocks damage when being used
- Damage increased from 5 to 35 (combo damage increased from 110 to 140)
Explanation: Brigitte is very good at covering high distances for healing her teammates, so reducing her range (and her high pocketing on Repair Packs) while increasing her tanking should be a good compensation i believe to let her survive more to still have her have high healing outputs for the fight. Her Barrier Shield is great for protecting her but not all the time because of it’s hit box not matching it’s width so increasing it to fully match it would be a nice change. Lowering Barrier Shield from its bottom would be nice for her to better protect her feet from things like Pulse Bomb, so lowering it by a little bit should be good for her.
Fun Wise
Brigitte
- Whipshot
- Now pierces through barriers
- New Ability: Armor Packs
- Replaces Repair Pack
- Is now a droppable with 3 charges
- Gives the hero who picks it up 50 armor
- Only gains charges from either Eliminations or landing Whipshot
Explanation: Brigitte watched 2017 overwatch videos from AndrewJRT and learned that her father tossed out armor packs for his team. so Brigitte wanted to do the same so instead of healing her teammates, she gave them armor instead.
Zarya
- Particle Cannon (Secondary Fire)
- Knockback increased by 50%
- Ammo consumption reduced from 25 to 20
- Particle Cannon(Primary Fire)
- Damage increased from 75-170 to 95-170
- Energy Rate reduced from 1.8 to 1.5
- Energy
- Upon death, Energy isn’t reset but is instead decreased to 50
- Resurrect now restores energy
Explanation: Zarya loses energy too quickly and a strong russian woman who wields a gigantic powerful energy gun shouldn’t be losing energy too fast. so increasing her damage and energy should make her the powerful great woman she is.
Sigma and Widowmaker
- Sigma finally takes Widowmaker to dinner
Explanation: Who would say no to a fine gentleman like him?
Symmetra
- Photon Projector (Primary Fire)
- Range increased from 12 meters to 15
- Photon Projector
- Ammunition increased from 70 to 80
- Teleporter
- Cooldown now starts on placement
- Photon Barrier
- Now grants Symmetra and her team 75 shields
Explanation: Photon Projector felt too short and always had her reload too fast so increasing its range and ammunition should allow her to be more effective. Photon Barrier has feelings too and always felt bad about just standing there blocking damage, so it grants 75 shields in favor so it feels loved.
